Can't remember the name of that game from your past?

The cop game has to be Pursuit Force. There are two of them. They can be really fun, I just hate most of the non-car levels.
If you want more games like these, that whole genre of "car chases where you have to ram into the target's car" starts with Taito's Chase HQ in the arcades. Sega & Aicom's AB Cop is a fun one.

This is gonna be vague, but I'm trying as best I can:
- it's at least 360/PS3 era or newer, I don't know if it was on either of those. I played it on PC a few years back. Maybe 5ish or so.
- open world 3d: don't recall if it was first or third person
- there's an island you can get to, and all I remember is that it took some doing to get there, but I don't remember if you swam or what.
- there are boats at a dock but I think they were broken
- there was either a lighthouse or some kind of storage shacks, possibly both
- if you were looking back toward the main map, there was a boat at this island on the coast to your left and I think it was possible to get on top of it. It may have been partially submerged and maybe yellow?
- tall grass on this island
- maybe monsters? maybe zombies
- zero clue about your character or any gameplay mechanics, I just remember finally getting to this island and needing to return at least twice, but I don't remember for what. Maybe collecting materials

My brain is saying it's Dead Island 1, but you don't swim to any islands in Dead Island that I can recall, in any of the areas. If this fuzzy ass memory is enough to pin it down, I thank you much.

[edit - it doesn't jive with some of the stuff I'm saying here, but it might be spectacle island in Fallout 4? I'd hate to reinstall it just to see, but I might]

I remember some indie game in a medieval setting that allowed for 3 player coop, the title screen had a mule or a horse pulling the carriage which is were everyone travels, it was similar to spelunky in some ways and also it had unlockable characters

that's what it was. thank you so much.

Just update to the latest MAME and then go here: https://mdk.cab/

Every rom file you download has a list in the description of the bios files and other dependencies you need to run it. It makes it very easy to do. I'm a huge arcade shmup player so i'm kinda obsessed with arcade titles.
And M.A.M.E. romsets have ALOT of dependencies.
backups of .Rom's ,bins .wav ect ect and suchs files of my own, for M.A.M.E.

The required files can be frustrating. I suggest the Planet Emulation website as a guide for Final Burn and MAME. The required files are listed along side the arcade rom.

OK. I'm looking for the name of this one:

It's an arcade game, probably from the 1990s.

PAC-MAN like, but SciFi theme: top-down perspective, gameplay occurs inside a labyrinth with doors, and you control a vehicle piloted by a cool guy (similar to Blaster Master).
Raimais (by Taito)?

Long shot, but its bugging me. I'm tryna recall the name of an old cancelled game I saw in a trailer once. I know I downloaded its audio/music at some point but I can't recall were that file is stored currently.

The game teaser was maybe 1-2 mins long and it showed a girl either with or running from a Team ICO inspired looking creature, not a huge one I think but defo ICO inspired. Music was ominous or sad-sounding I think aswell. The vibe/atmosphere was very dark/moody/depressive/intense I think aswell. Also the teaser may have been inside a cave and I think the girl was climbing at one point in the teaser. That's all I can recall really.

If anyone knows the game/trailer or has an idea based on that description, give me a shout. Thanks.

Don't you remember an approx. time (around which year did you see the trailer?), or how about the graphics? They were something like ps2 "ico" or more modern, even if "ico" inspired? Also are you 100% sure it's a cancelled game? (maybe they released it but you don't remember the title so you can't find it). Sorry if I ask questions that may be obvious, I have no idea based on your description, but maybe someone else who knows better may help you, if there are more details.

I may say I did saw lots of such generic video game trailers but you didn't give any significant detail whatsoever. No year frame, no detail on how the girl is, environment, graphic style, art style, what it might be its target platform and all...

Not to mention it may not be from a cancelled game, it may be very early teaser, prototype and whatnot video that video games can change since their early announcements. For example years ago while I was exploring foreign channels on my satellite-connected TV I found a French channel showing a cool game about the young man who has typical Japanese "long but not too long long hair" throwing his Prince of Persia like long dagger around and where the dagger landed he was teleporting that location. So in the video we were completely seeing him from his back and he was running always forward. The video game had the impression that no matter what this character "moves forward" because at some point a tower was collapsing in front of him and he was zap zap teleporting inside of him and then the video ended when thus he reached a huge AF black monster. For a long time I thought it was a cancelled game or something because I didn't bump into any game like that, but then Final Fantasy XV released with the same mechanic lol so I gotta assume it was that game lol.

From the way you just gave little details it just reminds me Little Nightmares 1, perhaps it can be any game featuring a girl. If the girl is playable main character its rather easy to find by you because not many playable female character in existence to begin with.

is it this game?

is it this game?

Can't give any more details than I already have. Its all I can recall. If I had to guess year of trailer, 2010/11.

I'm gonna have a look for the music file I downloaded. If I find that, I'll have the anwer and post it.

It would help if you could recall the platform and/or the time. Was it after 2010s? If Team Ico inspired must have been after 2000s? Was it a PC games, or a console game, and what console?
I'd say 2010s for trailer date.

how about this?
i spent some time looking for the game you're trying to remember

I downloaded the vid as a music file a while ago and the name stood out around the other music files I had so I checked the name on YT search and boom, vid popped and I'm like yah thats the vid I couldn't recall.

Yah shame it got cancelled based on how it looks in the trailer and given who was involved in its making. Also its artist was the same one who did Drakengard art.

Greetings everyone,

I have this game stuck in my mind that I played when I was small but cannot find. I made a simple drawing of it for representation. Every AI I tried couldn't find it. I am searching for a long time already, it would be amazing if someone can point me in the right direction.

Platform(s): PC

Genre: racing(formula 1 cars)

Estimated year of release: ~2000?

Graphics/art style: extremely retro, top to bottom view

Notable characters: -

Notable gameplay mechanics: The cars are moving across the desk, where office supplies are scattered. There were also puddles of ink from the pen that you need to avoid, otherwise your car loses speed.

Other details: The interface was very simple, there was no choice of tracks or car colors. Everything was randomized.
It is not Micro Machines.

Thanks everyone in advance!

I have also one thats kinda vague. Only thing i konw 100% is that it was on Snes and a platformer. A early level, might have been level 2 actually had this whole spooky theme going on. There were ghost enemies and i think flying books you jumped on, it was actually kinda creepy for a Snes level in that genre. I think the levels also weren't completely linear, you could explore a little bit but i think there was only one goal per level.

Could apply many other games as well, but maybe The Pagemaster?

It could be “Hostradamus: Hoffnung einer verlorenen Welt”. Check it out
