MAME emulator is overall arcade emulator on PC but the actual question is "how to find decent rom that actually MAME emulator is satisfed to run the game". Back then when I looked for decent roms the MAME emulator kept saying "the game lack this file and that" until I basically downloaded the whole internet and some roms worked and some didn't. To this day I fear trying to find more roms and I'm satisfied with few roms I found and it works lol.
Oh boy MAME is like the worst UI ever lol. From my memory. I remember getting FBNEO? I believe set up. My problem was either the BIOS just didn't match or the game version I had was invalid. Ive mastered all emulators besides arcade because of this looool. also thank you @

Dew Prism for the info <3. You both rock.

I've been using RetroBat as a solution for MAME and other emulators with relatively little issues, but I have definitely had to test each game in my collection and sometimes manually select which version of MAME to open with in the ES frontend.

AFAIK, MAME is more actively developed and aims for accuracy first, whereas FBNeo is a smaller project that aims for compatibility before accuracy. I haven't looked into FBNeo in a while however, so things may have shifted.

I wanted to ask about a mobile game. Made maybe between 2005-2010. It was one of those catapult games I think where you are scored based on how much damage you caused or distance travelled. I remember it was based on texas and there were hot air ballons ,storm clouds, eagles and oil rigs in it. If I remember correctly the place and game name contained Texas. Pls help i have thought about it for about 3 days and still couldn't remember or found it.

Not to promote other websites here too much - but if you're struggling to find an answer here, www.reddit.com/r/tipofmyjoystick is quite good for quite obscure games, not sure how they do on romhacks.

There's this game that's been in my mind since I was kid and I'm sure it's not a dream.
I remember seeing it in a magazine AND in real life.

It's an arcade game, apparently a fighting game, with two guys who look like Prince Addam not transformed into He-Man but had similar clothes and hairstyle. The sprites of the two fighters were HUGE almost using the whole screen, you looked at the back of the fighter in the left and the front of the fighter in the right.

The game vaguely looked like this incredibly crude drawing from my mind.

That vague memory is still super clear in my mind, clear enough to think I didn't dream it.

Only game I know that is like that is Dark edge but it wasn't that zoomed in.

OK. I'm looking for the name of this one:

It's an arcade game, probably from the 1990s.

PAC-MAN like, but SciFi theme: top-down perspective, gameplay occurs inside a labyrinth with doors, and you control a vehicle piloted by a cool guy (similar to Blaster Master).

I'm looking for a game that is probably an old point-and-click for computers. What I remember about it:
  • The game seemed sci-fi/futuristic.
  • It started (?) with the player having to clean the windows of a building. I’m not sure if the player actually had to do this, but that’s how it looked visually…
  • The game’s cover showed only the player’s feet, wearing sneakers, standing on what seems to be a platform.

Was it Aurial or Crack Down by Sega?

I am stumped. About what year was it made?

I remember playing on PC a low poly rail shooter with a plane (like Star Fox) and I remember that one of the bosses I got stuck in (perhaps the third level) was a train where you had to destroy each sections individually and they were armed.
I also need to remember if it was a PC game or an emulated PSX title but I doubt that old computers could emulate it well to begin with.

Is there any chance that it might be Einhänder?

I’m trying to remember the name of a game I played as a kid. It had a similar style to River City Ransom — side-scrolling beat ‘em up with simple graphics and fun combat. What I remember most is that the final battle was against two opponents, and the game could be played in 2-player co-op.

I’ve been trying to find it for years but can’t recall the title. Does anyone know which game this might be? Any clue or suggestion would be super helpful!

Not enough information. You might want to look into Technos in general, they made River City and many other beat-'em-ups (they invented the genre). The Combatribes, the Kunio series, Double Dragon series, etc.
Most games like these don't have shops. But your memories are so vague that maybe you're mixing different games together.

Maybe I'm being silly but do you remember what console you played it on? I know the OP kinda suggests NES, I just want to make sure.

Wouldn't it be funny if we all had an egg on our faces because we all homed in on NES because of the River City Ransom comparison only for it to turn out that we should've been looking elsewhere.

Also, could you tell us what region of the world you lived in at the time? Maybe your game was Japan- or PAL-exclusive for example.

nekketsu kakutou densetsu

That's it, the last bosses where these Tiger Brothers dudes.

You could play co-op with a friend or with a CPU buddy. Also enviromental hazards. And general awesomeness.

There's a couple of english patches for it around.

This is it. I forgot to mention there was no roof, it was like fighting in a backyard. Thanks a lot, Buddy.
