That costume falls weirdly in between the sexy and the clownish. Maybe it is the checkered pattern that is triggering my fear of clowns reaction.

Yes, it is a color wheel.

This orange with green is called:
"Equally weighted colours/hues pairs".
Something like that.
They must be in exact distribution of weight in colour.

Some of them are... Fooling the sight, because the number is not exact.
(If do you think there are 3 colours, actually, there are 2 or 4, it is an illussionary effect)

Drawing is a rewarding hobby. I used to draw a lot as a kid and picked it up again recently. Wish I had never stopped. I recommend you keep at it.
