Double Dragon Revive is a fun 7/10 game, and is nowhere near the bad quality of
DDII XBLA Remake. Also, I find it better and more replayable than
Neon. There is not dumb grinding for mythral to level up your powers, Making
Revive even more arcade faithful than
Neon.
Killer Is Dead is Grasshopper's best game when it comes to combat and straight forward level design.
I never knew anyone that hated Double Dragon on SMS
I never hated it, but it is lacking in hit detection consistency even more than arcade game or NES port. It felt rushed.
Doom 3 is widely hated within the Doom community, but I’ve always found it to be a very interesting and unique game amongst the rest of the series. I really like the horror atmosphere of that game; I don’t think it’s as good as Doom 1, 2, 64, DOOM 2016, or DOOM Eternal, but I do like it a lot.
Doom 3 pretty much stopped being hated by most of the community by the BFG re-release, and because of constant flux of military shooters. I always saw
Doom 3 as okay, but the
Resurrection Of Evil expansion is better, and
Doom 64 is the true
Doom 3 any way, and was already the better sequel. Speaking of which, D64 did get hate or mediocre reception back in the day. My brother and I played the shit out of it back then. It was great playing it again on PS4 with all of the improved QOL features.
Some people hate
Shadow Warrior 3 for being "too short", but the game is 10-12 hours on a first run, and for $49.99, that is not bad. It got updates later on to improve gameplay features and NG+. The previous two games suffer from a lot of padding. Especially
Shadow Warriors 2.
