Worst thing you have done to your phone?

Something that I did with the first few "smartphones" that I bought brand new, that is, from a "brick & mortar" storefront. I would also buy it with a new Otter Box, and to test its effectiveness (because of a story I heard previously) I went directly out to the parking lot and chucked it straight into the air. So that way if it failed to protect the phone I could immediately turn around & go back in the store and demand a refund..
Needless to say, it handled the test flawlessly. So, something that I've done several times over the years is to repeat this in front of people that didn't know any better. I would just chuck my phone up in the air in the middle of a parking lot for the shock-factor and/or to prove a point. It never failed to freak people out, which was fun..
Because of which: a) I swear by Otter Boxes, and b) I think people are stupid not to have (at some kind of) a case on their thousand+ dollar phones..

That might be the most metal thing I have heard in a long while, man... xD

i've been pretty good to my phone. i've had it for a while and there's only a few small scratches on the screen. i don't use it that often. i guess the worst is when i drop it on occasion, or forget to charge it. on the weekends i forget it exists. i guess that's really the worst. neglect.

I envy you... I can't conceive life without my phone anymore, both because I need it for work and because it's my gateway into the world.

After getting my old phone soaked during white water rafting, I then cooked it by putting the device in a rice cooker to get all the water out. Somehow my phone survived

Surprisingly, it does!

My sister once got her phone completely soaked, and a day on a cup of rice saved it.

I have no idea. What I do know is my parents' iphones got soaked as well but when they try to perform this trick, their phones got bricked. Their iphones were models newer than mine. I had an iphone 7 while theirs were iphone x if I remembered correctly. Would not recommend it cuz I can't tell if my old phone suffered any permanent damages that are noticeable.

I don't believe in the concept of "dumb questions", actually ^^

But I honestly have no idea — we threw it out because it was just one cup and we didn't feel comfortable with it having touched the phone for a full day.

Trust me, my mom was about ready to murder my sister (it was her third phone to bite the dust) when she thought about using rice to dry it... and it worked! It really, really worked!

Well as of a couple days ago, not putting it fully in my pocket as I got out of the car and then it slipped out of my damn pocket and onto the asphalt of the parking lot, shattering the damn glass on the screen.

At least the display itself wasn't broken but fuck.
