Worst thing you have done to your phone?

Let me see, my first cell phone was one that didn't even have an app store; if it did, I never saw it. It was an old phone that I only played games on and spent my childhood on; my mother bought it.She bought it with the help of her friends.I had fun playing the cat game until the wee hours.

I put a 16kg dumbbell on top of my phone once. When I checked it half the screen was black and touch only worked on that half. I kept using it for like 3 months just guessing where the buttons were ::coolmines

I remember back then when i had one of those old nokia phones that lasted me years and was like new

Then i got a new phone and i give mine to my dad. Long story short, what didnt took me years of use he totally trashed the phone to the point some numbers didnt work anymore and the color was ruined (it was silver.... then black....)

This is the reason for why i think five times before giving something to someone. Since i know they wont take care of their stuff like how i do

Offff.

I felt that.

I gave my first phone (which I no longer used) to my sister, who was a MASTER at destroying them — my little silvery wonder went from being in pristine condition to not even having its battery cover fit anymore U.U

One time, as a joke, I threw my nice and relatively new Samsung Galaxy phone at a concrete wall at nearly full force. On purpose, mind you.
It survived and I used that phone for another 3 years afterwards.

I did that to a Nokia/Walkman thingy I had once because I got pissed at it only taking ITS headphones and nothing else (despite there being no good reason for it).

I... think the wall bore the brunt of the damage.

And the next day, Samantha was grounded for a month for punching through three walls of your house with a cell phone...

I was banned to my room and grounded for a week, yes xD

Was hiking one time and opened my pack to grab something. I hadn't secured my phone and it felt onto the ground and slid a bit down the mountain. It somehow survived with no issue. It wasn't that far of a fall but it's a bit scary to watch your phone just descend from where you just came up, lol.

I'm honestly shocked that my clumsy ass hasn't done worse with my phone over the years. Maybe it's just that I'm always more careful around computers because they're expensive and I'm aware of how fragile they are? I don't really know.

I watched my sister (who is a phone destroyer) drop her phone into a hot tub a couple years ago (it did not survive), and one of my friends was walking past his pool and he looks and his phone was just sinking to the bottom of the pool. He jumped in and grabbed it, and the phone... somehow lived.

I accidentally knocked over a glass of tea and flooded my old phone.

My screen protector broke, I bought a new one and out of laziness I didn't put it on, that same day it fell face down on the floor, the screen shattered like the glass windows in 90s movies.

Was taking a photo of something at work, phone slipped out of my hand and went SPLAT on the concrete flooring of the warehouse. Cracked the screen and the back of the phone, as well as the battery, popped out.

Thankfully I was long overdue to get a new one

After getting my old phone soaked during white water rafting, I then cooked it by putting the device in a rice cooker to get all the water out. Somehow my phone survived ::warcraft-skeleton

Something that I did with the first few "smartphones" that I bought brand new, that is, from a "brick & mortar" storefront. I would also buy it with a new Otter Box, and to test its effectiveness (because of a story I heard previously) I went directly out to the parking lot and chucked it straight into the air. So that way if it failed to protect the phone I could immediately turn around & go back in the store and demand a refund..
Needless to say, it handled the test flawlessly. So, something that I've done several times over the years is to repeat this in front of people that didn't know any better. I would just chuck my phone up in the air in the middle of a parking lot for the shock-factor and/or to prove a point. It never failed to freak people out, which was fun.. :loldog
Because of which: a) I swear by Otter Boxes, and b) I think people are stupid not to have (at some kind of) a case on their thousand+ dollar phones..
