I don't have any images on hand, unfortunately, but I remember three things.

1. One of the the CDs being misnamed "Wood Man," causing existense of two Wood Man CDs.

2. Dr. Wily talking about taking control chip out of Bass when he supposed to talk about putting it in him.

3. Son of a bitch line. You know which one.

I think one can tell they are bad news, even without looking at their translations, by the fact their name contains a racist slur.

Tales of Phantasia (SNES) is slowly (and I do mean slowly) being refined by the guy that made MMX3: Zero Project. A lot of script corrections, mechanical refinements and even restored cut content. That said, at the rate its going we are more liable to see Life Bottle translate the PSP version before that is done.

The PSP version is definitive, really. From that point of view, even the PS1 version, as good as it turned out, pales in comparison.

PSP was so good in giving us def vers of games I love it so much.

I don't really have the heart to criticize someone who's putting in the effort to bringing a game to me when the publisher and the developers just wouldn't... but yeah, I have encountered some, say, spotty ones.

If you still haven't found an answer, "Jap" is a shortening of "Japanese," but it was popularized as a racially-loaded insult during WW2. So, it's regarded as a slur here in the States.

No puppies or kittens were harmed, I assure you, don't fret over it. To be on the safe side a lot of sites use just initials to avoid this problem, so it will be fine if you do that too.
