Description

DON'T FORGET TO READ THE READ ME!

Wizards & Warriors is an RPG crafted by the incredibly talented D.W Bradly and a precursor to the game Dungeon Lords. It even feels like a more party based version of it too! It's a game I love and one I hope you will too!

Not only do you get the normal game here, I included a folder that includes Ludmeister's mod that makes changes to the game including balancing weapons, enemys, classes and trying to make the game feel just more balanced in general. You can apply it if you so choose to. Personally, I would save it for a second play through but that is entirely up to you. You can check out the mod info in the mod folder for more info on it.

Enjoy!

Ah, yes. Back when playing a game actually required thinking, not just following arrows.

This comment is worth that 16th century suit of armour prize.
Ha, you are too kind, thank you. But yeah, it's one of those accessible tweaks that even those who want to go in blind or whatever can do to make a run better. Thanks for what you do here as well.

To start on the best footing, you can reroll any new character until they have a favorable distribution of natural attribute points (as is custom). Shooting for a natural 70 combined is solid enough and won't have you retrying forever, and you get additional points to place where liked or needed on top. You reroll by backing out (using 'Go Back') to the Inn's main room again, re-picking the species, class, and seeing if the numbers are higher.

Also: you get 1 skill point per level up for every 4 points in INT (rounded down, so if you have 15 INT you only get 3 skill points, but at 16 INT you get 4), so starting even your dumb brutes with a 5th grade education is certainly worthwhile, and you won't have to neglect their STR and AGI etc to do it. Bump them up to 12 INT so you get 3 skill points on level up (12/4=3).

Sure. That would be helpful.
So! All my characters were female humans to start. You don't have to do that unless you want one of them to be a Valkyrie. I went:

Warrior
Warrior
Warrior
Priest
Rouge
Wizard

If you want to take an advanced class you should prep for it from the start and I was lucky enough to roll stats good enough to get one warrior to barbarian early though dont worry if you dont roll that good, the game seems to have something built in to make it to where getting an advanced class late isn't the end of the world. As you level you will gain stats so just use the points towards getting the advanced class you want and of course, making yourself better as well. I ended up with:

Valerie
Barbarian
Paladin
Monk
Assassin
Zenmaster

Zenmaster is kinda a secret class and a reward for finding secret items so it may be more realistic to aim for warlock if you don't end up finding out how to get it.

If you need more advice, just ask!

Meaning to play this for years now but it take's effort to figure party combination and such.

Keep up the great uploads! I love discovering all of those obscure and old games :D
Thank you!
Is this any different from the GOG ver? minus the mod
Friend that worked on it said its pretty much 1 for 1 plus the addition of the optional mod. We had issues with the town scrolling but he nailed that out with his own fixes so I am super happy for that.

I don’t think that suit of armor contest is legit.
As someone who purchased this game when it was released... yes the contest was legit, but it was a modern crafted replica 16th century suit of armour, not an actual 16th century suit of armour.
