I know someone who is doing probably translation for this game
but pc engine cd version was translated

This is my current wishlist in this order:
  1. Dragon Ball Z: Idainaru Dragon Ball Densetsu (PS1)
  2. Rockman DASH (PSP)
  3. Boxer's Road 2: The Real (PSP)

Fullmetal Alchemist 3 for PS2
Fairy Tail games for NDS and PSP
Bleach games for PS2

I’d love to see the El Dorado Gate series translated. The art looks gorgeous and the Dreamcast English-language JRPG library is a little sparse.

Both Uzumaki games for the wonderswan as well as the Cardcaptor Sakura one for the same system. Might just do it myself at some point using a hex editor, honestly...

It would be cool if more ppl were interested in translating and preserving Casio Loopy games also.

There are a few. My biggest is an english translated version of the original Japanese Persona. I know people will say "Well, play it on PSP because that's the remake" but I hate the music and the interface. Yes, the fan patch puts the old music back (mostly accurately) but I prefer - and I know this sounds odd - the UI sounds of the original as well as some of its goofier aspects like the way you bumble about the over world map and the roughness/slowness of it. Call it nostalgia calling back from Christmas morning 1996, but it's what I always wanted. I did hear someone was working on this too.

My next one would be Tales of Destiny 2 for the PS2. The sequel. We have a menu patch, but that's it. I'm a huge tales fan and always wanted to see how Stahn and Rutee's life played out. I know bits and pieces but have stayed away from reading any documents about it for fear I'd spoil things for when a true translation comes out. If it ever does.

Lastly is Dragon Quest 4 on the PS1. Yeah i know there isn't much of a difference between that and the DS remake, but the extra animations and music the PS1 version has, plus it being something that was advertised to me on the DQ7 manual, it sort of feels depressing that we never got it in the US. Plus DQ 3/4/5 are my favorites and we have excellent remakes of 3 (Recently released) and 5 (on the PS2, recently translated) so I'd love to see lonely little old DQ4 finally get some love.

I have watched this days ago and thought it was interesting.
It's more about the dubbing and voice acting, but somehow related, so I am sharing it here.

What i've noticed is that game dubbing is usually better, because they tend to avoid alot of big names when it comes to smaller devs, this isn't always the case but yeah.

Genshin impact explains why i guess.

I am not sure about that game as I haven't played.

I always prefer the original things whatever they are and sound.

The video is talking about a new trend in the dubbing/voice acting industry, in California, and compares it to the previous methods (e.g. 1990s), the original Japanese voices and the industry in the rest of the world (which use that "old" approach).

When it comes to Japanese-only releases, I'm pretty casual. I want to be able to play the rest of those popular series without wasting too much time with a dictionary. I want Ryu Ga Gotoku: Kenzan. I want those old Atelier games. I want the rest of Sakura Taisen. I also want games based on popular anime and TV shows, like Kamen Rider, Ultraman, Gundam... That kind of stuff :->

Oh nice a Kenzan mention. I’d love that too.

The translation patch for Sorcerian on Mega Drive has been in the works since 2009 and is still not finished, every day is agony
