a lot of her art was watercolor based. in that way it is kind of unique, at least among MTG art.
"Channel" basically lets you use your life total to play other cards. that's sort of a unique way to play cards in that game.

I ruined the game for myself by levelling to 100 at the beginning of the game in the training center.

I pretty much did the same thing!! I followed a GameFAQ's guide by a guy called AbsoluteSteve who was like "Oh yeah before you leave Balam Gardens you're probably gonna wanna draw 99 of every spell". Now I've got Squall one-shotting everything on his turn and team mates who are hitting for puny damage
