I just wanna make sure everyone knows the difference in what makes one a viable combat weapon in the off-chance situation we end up actually having to use one, so that all the lovely forum-people are better prepared.

well, i think it depends how what a weapon is made of and how it is used
you can't use a rapier like a claymore and expect it to last
then there are magical effects to consider...
so, i believe just looking at a sword is not good enough to determine if it will be good or last in some way.

EDIT:
my original choice was Asellus' blood sword from saga frontier, anyway
and I kNOW that can hold-up in battle

My algorithm caught that too, and I had to read over it a few times while remembering instances throughout my entire experience history and say it in just such a way that it doesn't come across as arrogant.

Guess I'm not used to things working right.

Didn't they sort of quietly announce it in a way during the Switch 2 direct a couple months ago? Thought it just said it was coming in 2025.

I'm waiting for the inevitable definitely-hasn't-been-leaked-and-unofficially-confirmed-by-original-voice-actors-not-returning Persona 4 remake announcement. No idea what else is coming, I'll probably watch the Xbox Summer Game Fest video when I get home from work today.

2----i gave up my axe for a shortsword. i know there is "scaling" with weapons, but IDK anything about that. /true

I'm just trying to be as light and as fast as i can w/ my character. i do know +Dex=+Cast Speed

Congrats on beating Ludex Gundyr! I do make use of the hot key/inventory, although I didn't at first. I primarily store multiplayer and traversal items there.

You probably already know this from experimenting, but you can hold down the item cycle button between estus flasks and other items to quick equip your HP healing estus flask. Much more convenient than cycling through up to 10 items I've found.

I'll see if I can find a photo of my char...

I think it's more to entice people into buying it again with modern graphics. Persona 3 definitely benefitted from newer quality of life updates but 4 Golden is sufficient in my opinion. The only things I didn't like were the fetch quests of getting X of an item drop, those took way too long to farm. The dungeons can be repetitive but they aren't going to fix that. It seems likely they want to make another game or two with the Persona 5 engine before moving on to another one for future games. Haven't played much of Metaphor yet but the demo definitely felt rough with lots of jaggies, it felt like the limit of what they were capable of without an upgrade.

I played through Metaphor from beginning to end, its just Persona but with Press Turn System, and a very simplified "Persona" System with the Archetypes. I did feel that they were phoning it in with the late game dungeons and bosses. And there is a lot of repeated enemies, just with recolors or slightly different models.

It was pretty underwhelming. The social links sucked in general, i was very disappointed i couldn't date Eupha.

If it wasn't for the press turn, i would have dropped it by the baby fight. Oh, and the story is VERY cringe.
