How about Sonic Generations, Superstars and Frontiers ?

I loved generations (and sonic x shadow generations) i haven't played superstars but i heard that it wasn't that good, though i would love to try the multiplayer mode with my siblings. Frontiers was pretty alright too but it was way overhyped in my opinion.

I dislike the belief that Sonic games have to be entirely about going fast. They don't. Sonic 1 is the best Sonic game and a great game in general in my opinion, because it has variety. The speed is mixed in with careful, deliberate platform jumping and dodging hazards. You're rewarded for playing well and sticking to the higher paths with an easier route. You can definitely zip through Green Hill Zone easily but the later levels force you to adjust your pacing.

I also like the other Genesis games, and haven't played too much else. A bit of Sonic Adventure, Mania, Generations and Superstars. I'm interested in Frontiers as an oddity so I might buy it if it goes on sale for super cheap.

Now that you mention it, perhaps this is why I treat early 2D Sonic games as a platformer instead, I rarely went fast and took my time to get most of the ring as much as possible, I consider each level as stages of stunt trials. My record time was atrocious haha.

No, nothing happened, just doing my hourly checks. I explained in an older post there’s no one else left moderating this particular thread so I’m doing my due diligence.

I’ve also stated in a status post I’ve been solo modding the whole day. The others have been offline, probably attending family. I don’t have anything this weekend, so I’m having fun here by watching… and watching…
