Ok instead of being a lazy piece of shit I'll tank my sleep deprivation and try to make this interesting by myself

I have a group of internet friendships that started 16 years ago and I talk to them in discord almost everyday. Originally it was a forum about Spore.

I have another group of friendships on a city near my where I used to live that started on my 17~18 years. We actually started as a swordplay group. One of them we go way back, I met him in my 11~12 years and we became friends at my 13 years.

Also I dropped out of college but I made another group of friends there, we meet once or twice a year.

That being said I partially relate to @jfc because despite having this much friends I still spend most of my time being alone. I need some outdoors activity but taking that first step is hard.

It was way after i moved from Brazil. I moved to Portugal when i was a teenager and i was a NEET back in Brazil so me moving here was an improvement, i always felt alienated back when i still lived in South America so nothing here really bothered me and i never suffered from Racism since i never had an really thick accent and i look European enough. My problems in 2020 were personal stuff and me losing my job, not stuff i'm comfortable talking about in here.

Sorry there ain't much I can offer to help man, but stay strong, and know that we all enjoy your company. Well I can't speak for everyone here but me personally it really is a pleasure to talk with you.

Yeah your friends can either cause your downfall or really uplift you it depends on who you befriend they can be a blessing and a curse like.

Never had that kind of friends, do they really exist?
When I was younger I had some friends, guys who lived in the same small village as mine. There were also few school mates which I usually talked to, never saw them outside school. I'm not the kind of person who socialize, it's been years that I have none, myself and my dog is all I need. We live together and I never felt loneniless If I wanna talk, I talk with myself.

I think so, I'd like to say I do have that kind of friends, we may be getting older and we don't talk often anymore and have our own lives to take care of but everyone of 'em, me included, will drop everything and come by with a single call should the need arise.

That's cool, I actually made some friends from my old forum days, I mean shit. believe it or not we had our own smuggling ring, majority of them are moving on with their lives now, I only stay in touch with like 2 of them.

Like i said before i have literally 0 friends right now. 2020 was horrible year for me and made me distance myself from everyone who i used to be friends with, so i've been living in loneliness for the past 5 years or so.

I have 4 really good friends in my group. We got each others backs and all that sappy stuff. I really hope all of you guys can find that for yourselves. It took me a while honestly.

I had a group of friends I ran with, but I had to cut a lot of them out for going down a bad path. One of them I'm still in touch with is basically my Kyodai at this point though

I have very few friends, the ones i had in school, we just drifted apart cause i never really liked them, just hanging out cause there was literally no one else.

From College i only have 1 i am still in contact after graduation, and we do chat from time to time, mostly about games or politics.

And, i did meet some people while playing League back in the day, and we have been friends for like 10 years now, we often game together, send memes to each other, or talk about anime and manga, we have actually met irl.

I don't really go out much, cause i am too much of a NEET, but i am far more social here than i am irl, as i prefer to keep to myself and be alone with my thoughts.

It's tough to make friends as an adult, tougher to keep them. In my anecdotal experience, it's gotten worse with time due to social media and most people having cell phones. It's a lot easier to be flaky and cancel plans with someone or ghost them when you don't need to call them to cancel and hear the disappointment in their voice. Just shoot a text or message and move on. And if they cancel on you, and then you hear about or see on social media that they are doing something else or hanging out with other people, it's hard not to take it personally. Most of the friends I've kept I made when I first moved to Oregon, albeit a smaller town. I've lived where I do now in a bigger city for a decade, and have only kept in touch with a few people during that time for various reasons.

Anyway, life is too long to go through being lonely. Reaching out initially is the hardest part, but it's worth doing. I realize I am very lucky to have as many friends as I do, the lonliness epidemic is real these days. If you do have friends that maybe things have become strained with or there's been no communication in a while, and you'd like to talk to them, reach out! What's the worst that could happen? More nothing? I fall into that trap sometimes of thinking someone thinks I'm lame or is too cool to hang out, and really they were thinking the same thing or had some personal problems occupying them. It's too easy to fill in that silence with assuming the worst case scenario.

As for eating raw meat, I'd occasionally eat a bit of raw ground beef with a bunch of salt on it as a kid, so it seems normal to me. Then again, so does drinking the "juice" out of a can of canned mushrooms, which I've been told is kind of odd.

One of the major factor in my opinion, even with social media around, third place is still a viable way to meet up and socialize with someone be it friends and strangers. Now with most of it gone, we're all sorta forced to use social media, I still encourage my friends to this day to come over if they want to just talk, if we could do it in person then let's do it.

Yeah meeting up with dear friends is cool these past 2 days I haven't been here much cuz part of it is me meeting up with a friend who we just get along too well.

We walked so much in the end we ended up walking like drunken dudes I'm like "bro people gonna think we are drunk during ramadan" constantly roasting each other he has gta SA on his phone and he had 0 muscle told him to go to gym he kept pressing on the button and he was like "ahhh my thumb , that's real sport right there" he is a bit of a fatty and isn't much in fitness so you know what I told him "idiot get in a real gym instead of being ripped in SA"

He bought a bag of sunflower seeds me him and our other friend spent all the time eating those so much so that our friend got incredibly thirsty same for my guy only me didn't get thirsty cuz I actually had a cup of wata before going out

Yesterday we were walking in a street full of mansions damn I forgot to take photos lol , we were stopped by a fast car who of all things in the world pulled his head outta car and asked us "u have a firecracker" like....who in the heck stops like that and asks you such a question

We used to do this (The smoke together part, not the other thing) but everyone moved across the country. I have very few IRL friends that live within a 2 hour drive now.

If it's hard to make friends as an adult, guess how difficult it is when you're not mentally adult. The so called Peter Pan syndrome. I turned 18 many many years ago, but everything else remained in a teen mind. I'm not really adult when it comes to talk with other adults, my interests aren't even remotely the same as the people I know. I don't care to get a job, a license driver, become someone who can take care of himself, find a girl like me....usually girls my age are too much indipendent (I hope this is the right term), they want to have a family, make adult things, nothing I care about.
