The smell of rain mixed with the smell of freshly-cut grass is pleasant and fresh-seeming to me. I don't think it's uncommon though. I have some hair mask conditioner stuff for my hair that smells pretty good compared to the other shampoos and conditioners I've used, so I guess I'd say that.

Guess we're lucky here, it's been rainy and in the 50s or 60s. The hot weather will be here soon though and my not-having-AC ass will be hating it for sure.

Don't worry Anti, being broke just means you are safe from Gold Diggers.
NOOOO NOT THE KANYE SONG 😭

Nah man, gotta do forums on a PC for that authentic 2000s experience.

(Serious):
You want that authentic 2000s forum experience, gotta do it on a virus-ridden, malware-infected Windows XP machine that has random 'You are a winner' or 'Hot local signals in your area' pop-ups every 3-5 minutes as you click

Malkavian(Insane):
*Eye twitches* Oh, darling, your XP was a fortress... or did it just lull the viruses into a false sense of security?
*snickers* I see you, holding onto the past, thinking it’s safe. But the viruses... they’re just waiting for you to drop that guard.
*talks to a nearby pen* You see this pen? It’s been here since the dawn of my madness, just like your stubborn old XP.

*laughs* Maybe the viruses admired your loyalty... your machine is like a zombie apocalypse survivor, untouched, but at what cost?

Remember, the real virus is the silence between your clicks, whispering secrets only the dead can hear.

nah. i don't have that machine anymore. and there were no complacency of any viruses. just simply no viruses.
maybe your real madness was in thinking that pen you're talking to has been with you since the dawn of your own survival.
or, perhaps you assume the pen is real; and the real madness lies in thinking that it actually existed in the first place, like you still think i still use that xp machine.

There's certain things from the past I can live without :loldog

Catching viruses is like emotional disappointment: the only sure way it avoid it is not getting online/not trying to find affection.

I think the first time I heard internet dial up tones, I thought I'd caused actual physical harm to the family PC.
I have visions of patting a big white monitor apologetically

that dial-up tone...
heh. yeah, i thought the same :)

That feeling of spending hours downloading something only for your mom to use the phone before it's done.
Cue the Darth Vader
Star Wars No GIF

I have a lot of nostalgia for the old internet, but there's no going back from dial-up. Although aside from the slow speed, the biggest annoyance of it tying up the phone line is also a non-issue in the cell phone age. Often all it took to stop me from hanging out with a couple of my good friends back then was for their mom's Everquest addiction to be active.
