for actual books, Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson is really fuckin sick n cool n awsum.

as for Manga, NANA will always be my favourite. Also One Piece is rlly good :3 (i need to get reading again, I stopped at chapter 491)

Alright here is a topic, what's your favorite book series?

Mine is Hammer's Slammers by David Drake, its about a mercenary company which gets involved in a myriad of conflicts around the galaxy, each story its them in yet another war, although there are recurring characters like Colonel Hammer, Pritchard or Joaquin, each story usually follows different members of the Slammers (or people having to deal with the Slammers), thing is, its written by a war veteran, and he doesn't shy away from the nitty gritty, a lot of the operations are exactly how a military would do them, and the description of the carnage is exact in the gory details, and some Slammers don't shy away from war crimes.

I like it because I like accurate military operations, and that it doesn't preach at you, it shows you war as it is, and its up to you to come to your own conclusions.
Mine's a little bit of a toss-up between Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game series, or the Red Rising series by Pierce Brown.

Both have lots of general concepts and themes I love when it comes to science fiction stories, but I'm not sure if I could just pick out one when it comes don to being a favorite.

For those that aren't familiar with it, Ender's Game is a little difficult to talk about without spoiling the end of the first book, so I won't say too much about it other than that the first book is about a bunch of kids (and in particular our main character, Ender) being trained to command through a game and prepare them for defeating a threatening alien race called the Buggers. The rest of the series takes place after, and there's a companion series that starts with Ender's Shadow from the perspective of another character in the books.

The Red Rising series by Pierce Brown is set on Mars, and follows a lowborn miner named Darrow. This series features a society where everyone has a color (red, pink, gold, etc.), and your color determines your place and role in society. Reds are at the bottom, golds are at the top, and there's a myriad of other colors in-between. In the novel, Darrow is chosen to infiltrate gold society and destroy it from within. The first book is a bit weaker than the ones that come after, but it's still a fairly solid read.
