A majority of us might be working. Oh well, there's always the next day.

Also, still waiting till your PC setup is done.

Random fact- The phrase "The customer is always right," is half of it. Full thing is "The customer is always right, in matters of taste."
I have a joke, What do you call a dam made by cows ?

Two pages were telling jokes to one another, one of them teared up.

Seems page 250 just tuckered everyone right out.

I've mostly just been doing some gaming today. I've put off finishing Elden Ring for too long, and since it's been so long I've been scrambling around trying to remember everything I was doing before I took a break.

That's fair, I've been mostly working with a bit of gaming on and off. I'm hoping to be more free the next couple of days.

Has anyone been a "wingman" on a date? Basically, been the person trying to help a friend have a successful date. Likewise, if you were on a date, would you prefer to have friends helping you out, or would you rather go it alone and duel your date 1v1? Friends can be helpful, but also distracting.

The last time I was a wingman, my roommates and I went out to bar with a friend of ours, and sporadically a person she was talking to on a dating site decided to come meet her. It was a sudden instance of needing to hype up a friend, but it went well, and they're engaged now, so I'd call it a success. I can't think of another instance of it happening off hand. I haven't had friends wingman for me often, but I know they'd be willing to if I asked. I did have someone inadvertently barge in me and someone I was interested in and kill the moment, but they didn't mean to, so I dunno if that counts as anti-wingmanship. I think I'd rather go it alone, all things considered. I'm kind of a goofball anyway, but it's certainly ramped up around friends, and I would want to seem a little more mature around someone new I'm potentially interested in.

I was a bit of a matchmaker myself in college, though that mostly came down to having a pretty large circle of female friends. (Which is standard if you're in the writing biz because it's a chick's medium.) Whenever a group of us would be drinking at the pub or something, it was pretty easy for me to spot a single guy, give him a little wink, and say "HEY FRANK, DIDN'T I JUST HEAR THAT YOU GOT APPROVED FOR A VISA BLACK CARD? EILEEN, YOU'RE INTERESTED IN WEALTHY INDIVIDUALS, AREN'T YOU...?" and go from there. I take some pride in knowing that, even for short periods of time, I was able to help a few decent people find some semblance of romantic happiness.

I don't think being a wingman (or needing one) is necessary, of course, but you shouldn't actively put down a friend when they're trying to court a lover unless you want a mouth full of piano keys.

I'm the crew's go-to wingman, 4 of them got married, I was the best man for all their weddings.

Honestly I don't do anything crazy, I just eyein the girl trying to see if I spot any red flag, went ahead to their dating spot making sure everything is in order, and tail them around so I can flag my homie down if they do stupid shit or something.

Not on a date, but I helped a friend of mine get with a girl he liked in High School. They were only together for a couple weeks though.

Are you familiar with landscaping? There is a technique in which you surround something nice with dull things to make it standout, when i am with my friends, i look far better by comparison, so i always gotta hang out with them when picking up baddies. You can make me a 7/10 look like a 9/10 with this hack.

Although my relationships don't last long, cause i lose interest in people far too quickly.

I've never been a wingman, but I have dated multiple people at once. And before anyone asks, no not like cheating, more like an open/poly relationship. Generally the more people you add to the date equation, the more of a nervous wreck I am, so a wingman is really something I'm not too keen on having personally, but I see the appeal.
