Which translation patch were you most eagerly awaiting?

Persona: Innocent Sin. I remember when playing Eternal Punishment on the PSX back when it first came out back in 2000 (the infancy of the internet) and just the way the story was progressing told you that there was more to the story and low and behold, there was.

Dragon Force 2 and the Shining Force 3 translations of discs 2 and 3 as well. It was just frustrating we didn't get these gems earlier.

Do you still own that psx eternal punishment game its expensive

I'm still waiting for the Yakuza Kenzan Translation to be finished. We now finally have a translation for the PS3 version of Yakuza Ishin so i don't have to play the shitty remake version of the game anymore.

Another to add sorta

Not really a translation
But it'd be nice to have a romhack of the casino put back into HGSS and it be translated

Also Kidou Senshi Gundam Seed: Rengou vs. Z.A.F.T. fully translated would be nice actually !

A year or so before Chaos;Head Noah officially came out I was waiting on the COZ patch to be released. Now I'm waiting for the patches for the Chu Chu games.

Besides that there's Kud Wafter, Rewrite+, and 12Riven. Also, I'm grateful for the Aeon Genesis translations as I was able to play the first SMT. I've had the translations for SMT II, but haven't gotten around to playing it.

When I was younger I was unaware of English Patches of games and I always sighed whenever there was a cool game, but it wasn't in English. Back then, I remember seeing the Boktai events in the Mega Man Battle Network games which was one thing that I wished was in English. Same thing with Rockman 4.5 and the Star Force crossover in the DS Battle Network game.

I heard a Brightis translation is being worked on but no word on how much progress has been made.

Hello to all the nerds around here.
I am mainly referring to the golden era of romhacking and the dawn of translation projects, when some legendary translation groups such as DeJap, RPGONE, j2e, RPGe and Aeon Genesis, and others more or less important (and today often forgotten), dedicated heart and soul into romhacking, especially of snes. Of course, you can also mention the most recent projects, but I am especially curious about the first translation projects, dating back to the late nineties and early 2000s. Ahhh... so many memories! What anxious expectations! It seems like only yesterday, and I'm still waiting for those damn promised translations of Albert Odyssey (snes) or Lady Stalker (snes) which will never be finished, alas.

Without digressing, here is my list of the translations that I awaited with greatest trepidation and that did not disappoint my expectations;
1) NES: Final Fantasy 3, Radia Senki, Captain Tsubasa 2, Villgust, Sweet Home, Just Breed;
2) SNES: Seiken Densetsu 3, Tales Phantasia, Star Ocean, Tactis Ogre, Mystic Ark, SRW3, Dragon Quest IV and VI;
3) MD: Monster World IV, King Colossus, Langrisser 2, Rent a Hero;
4) PCE-CD: YS IV, Xak 3, Castlevania, Yuna 1/2;
5) PSX; Policenauts, Langrisser IV, Bloody Bride, SRW Alpha-G, Tear Ring Saga;
6) NDS: Tales Innocente, Nanashi no Game 1/2, Saga 3, Conan & Kindaichi, Okaeri! Chibi Robo, Tinglee Balloon Trip,
7) PC: Fate Stay Night, Castle Fantasia 2, Utawarerumono, Men at Work 2, Saya no Uta, Remember11, Umineko.

I'll stop here for now. Now let's hear your choices and your most poignant memories about this topic.
Finally, tell me the title of a game whose translation seemed almost finished and ready for release, but which instead was abandoned or lost for some elusive reason, and you are still waiting for it in vain. ?
And then don't say anymore that I don't post interesting threads.
Come on, don't be shy, you're all welcome. LYA. ?
Would love for the rest of the Summon Knight swordcraft story games on GBC to be patched, the PSX version of Tokimeki memorial, and Sakura Taisen GB2

Yes. I have all my old games still. I even have the strategy guide for it and the original Revelations: Persona. I've never been one to trade my old games. I know there's a market for them though but I just haven't been able to do it. I even have Panzer Dragoon Saga original discs and case.

Also wishing for someone to translate Hunter X Hunter: Maboroshi no Greed Island (Japan) PSX. A shame since this is actually a mystery dungeon style RPG game, truly a hidden gem.

Still waiting (and I'll still wait) for Yakuza Kenzan eng translation, last update on Tumblr page was back in 2022 but I wanna believe it'll be finished and released one day...
There is also Kowloon's Gate but I think it'll release next year
I'm quoting myself because I forgot about Phase Paradox on PS2!
There is something fascinating about a sequel which goes in a totally different direction gameplay-wise (Philosoma was a shump while Phase Paradox is a horror) and I'd really like to play the latter; I know there is eng dub but I can't easily follow eng dub without subs so I'm crossing my fingers for an english translation ::bigboss

Jump! Ultimate Stars
This was never going to ever get an official English Localization. No way in hell.
I'm glad that it finally did get a Fan Patch and that they even bothered to translate the manga panels too. Did it like a true scanlation group would.

I've never understood why this game is so popular. Aside from the few comic strips, the characters are all similar and equally tiny, the gameplay is repetitive and banal, the stages are flat and monotonous, like those in Bubble Bobble. Similar to an 8-bit game, it doesn't exploit the potential of the DS at all. Its fame is truly incomprehensible (and undeserved). 🤷🏻‍♂️
