Which physical retro game in your collection are you most proud of owning? And why?

Oh yeah!!! I have a bunch of signed stuff I collected over the years...

Final Fantasy XIII signed by Kamikokuryo Isamu and Kitase Yoshimura
Final Fantasy 7 & The Last story Signed by Umatsu Nobuo
Parasite Eve signed by Shimamura Yoko
Xenosaga Episode 1 and Xenogears signed by Mitsuda Yasunori
Metal Gear Solid 3 & 4 signed by Kojima Hideo (the MGS3 one was funny cos he wasn't as well known then so I could just go into the store on the day, pick up the game, queue up and be out in a couple of hrs. Had to ask the security guard what the small queue was for. But MGS4 was a Big deal!)
One of my arcade sticks was signed by Harada and Ono...

I have a few signed posters lying about too but I forget where...

I'm fairly proud of my JP Saturn imports.

Most of stuff I'm proud of is hardware rather than games. Like my 1988 VA0 MegaDrive. Or my 1994 SCPH-1000 PlayStation.
I do still have my original Silent Hill for PlayStation that I bought new from a Walmart in 1999. I overheard an older couple standing in front of it discussing how much they enjoyed it so that's what I went home with that night.
I think what it really is; is my original Big Box BLOOD for PC though. I bought that new from an Electronics Boutique that got turned into a GameSlop years later.

Sorry it's not a picture of my actual box. It's in my parents attic. Maybe I'll update this and replace the image.

The copy of Super Metroid me and my cousin played through together as kids. It was originally his. I borrowed it one day and never returned it. He ended up going down a bad path in life and is unfortunately no longer here but it's still my favourite game to this day and playing through it the first time with my cousin is one of my most cherished gaming memories.

These. Posted before in another thread.

Friends said I was crazy for spending as much I did for each cart. Now with the AES+ coming, I don't seem so insane now do I fuckers?
Ports of Neo games don't "feel" the same. People will see depending how good the AES+ compared to the original system.

an NTSC-J copy of the first Shin Megami Tensei on the SNES that I got for a price that is basically free. I happened to get across it when going through a vintage surplus store here and it was also the time that I was very hyperfixiated with MegaTen

Far too many to count, it's impossible to decide really.
From my VFD games and Russian Game & Watch clones to some of my original games, some of my bootleg games.
I honestly don't know where to begin.

I LOVE and HATE posting pics of my VFDs because I can't post of each and every one and if I miss even just one I feel guilty like "oh my god now people will think I don't like my ROSY Puck 'n Monster but I love it, I just haven't taken any good pics of it because that one in particular is difficult to photograph" and so on

I feel I'm probably the most proud of my VFDs but I dunno

I have so much love for VFD games, I've been recording them slowly over the past year and I don't want to even make the youtube video on them because if the algorithm screws that one video over and kills it before it hits at least enough views or so, it would break me since I want to share my love for these games so damn much lol

I hope they work for many more years to come
I only play them in summer, I have around 30 of these things and if they weren't so insanely expensive I'd be buying a ton more

On sale on Steam right now as well as part of the Bullet Fest event.
I was considering RefRain when going through my wishlist, but I went with other options. The Touhou games don't go on sale often, so I finally picked up a couple as my intro to the series (along with Psyvariar Delta, Space Moth Lunar Edition, and Super Galaxy Squadron EX).

In terms of market value, I'm still baffled that I own a complete boxed copy of Solatorobo. When our local game store was still selling DS games as current-gen, this was just sitting on the shelves for months. I picked it up (at retail price) out of curiosity since people were mentioning similarities to Megaman Legends, and I never thought it'd turn out to be a rare game!

In terms of sentimental value, I'm happy that I still have my childhood copy of Tiny Toon Adventures on GB. Apart from the copy of Tetris bundled with the game boy, this was the first game that felt personal, something that was mine. It still has my name and the date written in marker on the back (thanks Mom)!
