I've only used Gog and Steam. And for some reason Galaxy is really slow and likes to randomly decide that I'm in offline mode when I'm obviously still online with everything else. I only downloaded it and made an account because I got Cat Quest 2 for free off Amazon Prime. I keep forgetting to check Prime for more freebies. ?
I'm limited in what I can run so it's always like spinning the roulette wheel and hoping to land on potato.
I would use Gog more if Galaxy would work better for me.
I do wish I could trade digital games I was done with. But that's always been an issue with digital purchases and I don't think it's ever going to be like physical game trades. If you could sell the game back to the digital store front for credit towards a new game I guarantee you'd be given pennies. If you tried to make an even trade with friends they might pull something like saying the games have to be of approximately equal value. Buying and selling digital games between users would probably have fees tacked on so the storefront profits off of something it already sold you anyway.
We're never going to get back to the glory days of selling the old game for credit towards the new game. Once physical copies really go bye bye we're all going to be in the same boat.
The reason why I can't give away a Steam game I bought five years ago and don't want anymore is because that's a lost sale. If the person I'm giving the game to really wants it then as far as the company is concerned they can go buy it themselves. Because I technically don't own the game and it's not mine to give.
This sucks eggs. But it's the future we chose by choosing the convenience of digital storefronts. And I don't want to put that blame on us though. We were naive because it was shiny and new and saved a trip to the store or a shipping fee. Then more and more games were released digital only. I don't think the Genie goes back into the bottle on this one.

No i'm not talking owning the IP/Game which cost millions to develop; I just talking the instance of the game in which you could trade to someone if it were say a physical book or disc.
