I know how 7 changed the jrpg landscape but for me 9 really hits the most for me.

I played Final fantasy 9 the most as well, not to full completion, just to see the main plot, I also completed final fantasy 7 but I never beat final fantasy 8, even tough is arguably the weaker entry of the playstation 1 games, I'll make sure to change that someday

FF7 is my favorite, but I never finished it. I really like FF8, even though it has some weird systems and strange story beats. Didn't finished it either. Been to the end of the game twice, but the enemy leveling system always kills my runs. Still plan on finishing it someday. I don't really like FF9, but I've completed it twice. Go figure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

FF8, my first videogame, 100% it with the official guide (that I've been stupid enough to sell).
Also FF9 just because I started it on ps2, then the second disc broke and I've been forced to start again on psp.
FF7 played once, with guide too, but I think 8 is the one I've put more hours into.

I like VII a lot, but IX always hit harder for me. Played them both a few times, but I’ve only fully beaten VII once whereas IX I’ve done 3 times now.

The less I say about VIII the better lol.

I love FF IX; I finished the game both on the PS1 and on the PC but never managed to get Excalibur. Maybe I'll play again just to try and get it.
