When did you get your first console and was it?

got a N64 for my bday back in 96. super mario 64 was bundled in. loved the game but hated the controller lmao that shit was not designed for the hands of a 6 years old kid. after all these years, still hate the damn thing.

Got my cousin's old SNES along with his games back in 99 I think. Super Metroid and Mega Man X immediately became my favorites.

My parents had the old wood Atari 2600 in the early 80s, but then my dad got us an NES for Christmas in 1987.

I got my parents old Atari when I was a little boy. My first system purchased for me would be a NES back in the day.

So my very first console was in 1994 and it was my dad's old NES. We didn't have the money for a SNES and the PSX wasn't really in the cards either. I played the hell out of Castlevania, Mega Man 2, Legend of Zelda, and Dragon Warrior. I think those kinda planted the seeds for the companies I would grow to adore as a kid oddly enough. I was a huge Konami and Capcom freak for most of my time playing games.

I got a psx/ps1 with Small Soldiers I didn’t even ask for it but my dad hooked me up. I was spoiled as a kid. I got it late so it came with dual shock instead of the og controller. I liked small soldiers but the first game I really fell in love with was Digimon World. I rented some cool games like Megaman 8 too.… i also had Bomberman party edition which was cool and had a fun soundtrack but was not as remotely cool as the Bomberman games the other 5th gen systems got.
I also had Tomba which from what I read is pretty expensive now
the I just didn’t understand what to do in the game and ended up selling it and my PlayStation to rhinos or GameStop can’t remember when I upgraded to ps2 in like I think 2003 for war of the monsters.
