When did you get your first console and was it?

Dude isn't Morrowind on the xbox like after a while unplayable due to frqmerae issues in belmora?

My first one came pretty late unless a Commodore 64 counts. But otherwise, all the game stuff was my dad's, and he went as far back as Coleco Telstar Arcade. We had a 2600 but it was his, then a Genesis and that was his too. I had games for them but they were his machines. I had a Game Boy in 1989, but if we're talking first console that was just mine outright, I guess it was the Saturn?

I am fairly sure for this thread early computers count. That was also very common here likely in 80's when C64 with Tape games were much much cheaper option for gaming than anything else. Not to mention copying tapes. Disks, not very common here at all until rich kids got Amigas or IBMs. To me it is bit fascinating but I did not know only one guy with Computer/PC childhood (even if pedantically he would also say NES and Mega Drive are Computers too, just blah blah...)

It's playable on Xemu. Minor issues, roll the dice on it.

As an 11-year-old, Dad/Family bought pong in 1975, game was integrated... First cartridge console Dad/Family bought was the Atari 2600 in1980, when I was 16 years old. First Console I personally bought was the NES in 1988 when I was 24 years old...

I've had access to an N64 and a Gameboy Color since I was a toddler, but I'm not sure when they "officially" became mine. Maybe the Gameboy Color was always mine, because we had two, one for me and one for my dad. If not those, then I know that the Gameboy Advance I had was mine and mine alone.

A PS1 I don't really remember the origin of since it had been in my house as early as I can remember. My parents were divorced and my dad got a PS2 super close to launch so I assume that the PS1 was his and he just gave it to my mom for me to keep. I still have a couple of my old memory cards from my childhood, they're the only video game related things from my youth I still own. 100% Legend of Dragoon, a pretty fleshed out Gran Turismo 1 file, 100% Crash and Spyro trilogy and some incredibly good Crash team Racing times, among other things. Some good memories livin in those little plastic slabs c:

Sega Genesis on my 6th birthday in 1995. Came with the 6-Pak cart and instantly fell in love. Unfortunately the reset button has never worked on my console, but other than that, it still works. Even bought an Everdrive cart for it one year and loaded it up some of my favorites

NES. August 24th, 1989. $100. Paid for myself.

Yes, I bought my NES 10-days after the US launch of the SEGA Genesis. The Genesis launch games were largely horrible, but the NES had years of awesome under its belt.

On a birthday I got a PlayStation 1 and an original Xbox. This was 2002

It was the grey PS1 I got from my dad back when I was 8. the first games I started with was TNN Harcore 4x4, and a pizza hut demo disc. (also Perfect Weapon, but we don't talk about Perfect Weapon)

Pong. I was like 8 years old or so. It was used, we were poor as shit. Still have it some where. Beat to shit, in bad condition put away.

My first console was an Atari 2600 clone in 1989-1990 (can't remember exactly). I only got it for a few months before my cat peed on it and broke it, then I got a NES clone called NASA.
