Choosing just one is hard. I'm just going to pick the systems where I feel pretty confident in my choice and leave out the ones where I can't decide. I'll still probably end up re-considering the choices I've made though LOL
- SNES - Donkey Kong Country 2 or Final Fantasy VI
- N64 - Mischief Makers
- Gamecube - Resident Evil 4. There isn't anything else I would even consider. At one point in time this was THE reason to own a Gamecube.
- Switch - Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Exemplifies the kind of fun that I look for in a Nintendo 1st party game and it's the 1st party games that make many people buy Nintendo systems. I've always like 2d Mario better than 3d Mario which is why this is the Mario game that made the list.
- Game Boy Advance - Drill Dozer
- Vita - Tearaway. I'm picking it as it's one of the few Vita exclusives and an overall excellent experience.
- Sega Genesis - Sonic 3 & Knuckles and there really is no other choice.
- Saturn - Grandia
- Dreamcast - Skies of Arcadia
- Xbox - Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
- Xbox 360 - Viva Pinata or Mass Effect
PS1 - Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
PS3 - Puppeteer or Valkyria Chronicles. Amazing and innovative games that were PS3 exclusives (no longer the case with regards to VC)
PS4 - Astro Bot: Rescue Mission - Sold me on VR and is one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had playing a platformer
PS5 - Astro Bot - The only thing worth a damn on the PS5
This was hard, there are several other classics I could have gone with.
kingdom hearts / KH1.5 2.5 remix etc. PS3 was a goldmine for RPG games, as well as HD ps2 games. but KH is on ps2, ps3, ps4, ps5, PC, nintendo 3DS, normal DS, PSP!!! its on everything. and i love kingdom hearts so much!
I'll limit mine to favourite game I own per console/platform that I own:
Line 1: PC, OG Xbox, 360 & Xbox Series (cheating technically because D4 is an Xbone game)
Line 2: N64, Gamecube, Wii U & Switch
Line 3: DS, 3DS, PSP & PS Vita
Line 4: PS2, PS3, PS4 & PS5
