my thing with dratini is cus I have memories of a dear friend attached to it lol, but sure I totally agree! as for mew, it's cus of the lore in firered (the diaries in pokemon mansion)... like, mew is supposedly to be a south american pokemon cus noone cared to proofread the game maybe lol

but overall I was never that attached to the franchise itself tbh... that's just for those memories
