Anime What's the worst anime you've ever watched?

Emanga Sensei was an anime I watched solely because it was a trending meme at the time. I was also a teenager, so it said a lot when I dropped it after a single episode and never went back.

There's an "Horror" anime called Pupa, the animation is stiff, the chapters are short (The entire series is in a single Youtube video) the plot makes JACK of sense, and the characters could slip under a door, the only horror the anime handles is filling the screen of Ketchup (The reason i dropped Elfen Lied too)

Have not watched many anime, is Mushoku Tensei Bad? i through so based on the first few episodes, but it does seem to have a large fallowing.

Now there's Youtube videos and a creator whose whole career can be based on finding the worst of old anime my personal watching history leads me to point to Dependents of Darkness for being boring and nonsensical in personal development of characters and weirdly dramatic with no pay off or proper build up. Could be from just terrible adaptation but I have no doubt the original manga also suffers from melodrama nonsense.

Some curious "anime" like Pillow Boys and others like it that are cheap hardly animated anime snippets of a "main character" addressing the watcher in a scenario they concoct to make the watcher feel included or invested in the character which to me I might have enjoyed as a horror or cheeky parody but yeah that "anime" and others that style is best reserved in the privacy of otome, vns and fandisks to take full effect of a target audience not thrown to the massive public to be ridiculed.

this will most likely rub at least one person here the wrong way but so far my least favorite anime i can say is objectively bad is Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha from the writing uninteresting and forced conflict horrible writing lazy character designs no anime aside from one other makes me angrier.

That's easy! Masou Kishin Cybuster.
It's slightly based on the original characters created for the Super Robot Wars series, but besides the names and some designs, the anime doesn't even try to adapt anything from the Masou Kishin game, instead it creates a new story... That is absolute garbage in every single possible way.

The list of everything wrong with this anime:
- Bad and stupid characters (except Mr. Ando, Sayuri and Mr. Kamijo, they are good).
- Awful animation.
- Terrible story.
- Bad fights.
- Unmemorable soundtrack (only the first opening and the second ending are good).
- Annoying villains (Shuu, Saphine and Dallas are NOT fun to watch, at all).
- The anime drags a lot, it has 26 episodes but it feels like it lasts for 40.

Only managed to finish this absolute dumpster fire because I was watching with a friend of mine and I wanted to make a review about it, but Jesus Christ, the amount of times the characters did something stupid was through the roof in this show.

If you are a fan of the Original Generation, this anime will be terrible. If you don't know the OG and don't care, this anime will STILL be terrible. No one wins with Cybuster, it's a bad time from beginning to end.

Basically, watch the real SRW OG anime: Divine Wars and The Inspector. They are great.

Here in Brazil, it aired in the early 2000s alongside Dragon Ball Z. It was this weird mix of puppet-style knowledge and Pokémon, but way crazier and stranger than anyone could ever imagine.

You would think from the master who made Ghost in the Shell and Dominion Tank Police that Gundress would have been a hit. I know it's not Masamune Shirow's fault, it's really the production company's fault. Sad, I kind of half-liked and hated Gundress.

Something Witty Entertainment abridged the series, and it's freaking hilarious. It's almost like it’s reversed, SWE made the original good version, and whoever made the original did a bad abridged of it.
