What's the story behind your username?

I've suffered from insomnia ever since I was a kid. It's a partially ironic name but it's also very personal. Sleep/dreaming as a concept has always held great significance and fascination for me, so when it comes to what the name means I could basically tell half of my life story and in my mind it would all relate lol

I used to go by tons of different names online growing up, but this is the one I've stuck with for the past 8ish years and I don't plan on changing it.

My username is usually tatsuya, leon is the username i use secondarily and is usually the name i give to my main character in games when a game requires it.

Without getting too much into it my name is an encryption of what I am what I love and what I strive to be, my name is an oath to myself and a reminder for my sanity and mentain that "energy" hence the (ki) in my name :)

damn, this might be a long one, anyway Hawx is basically coming from "Hawk" my real name (Haitham) means "chick/baby of a hawk" in Arabic, the X in my name replacing the k out of unfimilarty and "killing" my old self in a sense and reborn again, when i was a baby i was basically dying and my name was Xander at the time, a mirascle happend and i survived so they gave me another name, since they already wrote me in the paper as dead and Xander became my dead name, and i got another name Haitham so i merged these 2 together with adding the X of my dead name as the first letter of my other name and to point its my ex-name too, my full user is Ryokuchi Hawx/Ryo Hawx, the ryokuchi part basically is combination of things i liked that have double meanings too, ryo can be seen simply as "Dragon" but putting it together with kuchi it becomes (green space) i cose this name because i love dragons in general and alot of dragon themed media, D&D,Dragon ball,yo gi uh, and a lot more, the green space part is basically of my love of the Color GREEN, greenary and space adding the name all together and you get a green space dragon hawk, dragon Hawks are my favourite fanatasy monster of all time, there is no clear design for a dragon hawk in fantasy media but every media make them diffrent and unique i mainly like how WOW and yo gi uh kinda make them for me griffens are boring and not that intresting while in other hand dragon hawk is everything a griffen wish to be and i see dragon hawks as my spirit animals after the dragons themselves of course and for the (green space dragon) part of the name? i think you can figure this part out yourself
world things GIF

Well, is not an extremely mind-blowing thing. I am into hard rock and 80's glam and hair metal bands so "hard" is for hard rock. "Metal" is because heavy metal is another type of music which I'm a big fan. Finally, "man" because I am a man ._. I thought it'd fit well and I had the feeling something was missing.
So here I am, the Hardmetalman at your service. Anyway, I've been using this nickname the last 12 years, before that I used to use my real name on Internet.

I chose this username on a whim, the first word Procol is a reference to Procol Harum. They were an early prog group back in the late 60s I listened to their debut I couple of days ago. Kraut references Krautrock, a German experimental rock/electronic scene in the tail end of the 60s and throughout the 70s. I also chose that randomly. Sprout is a reference to the UK pop group Prefab Sprout from the 80s best known for their album Steve Mcqueen. I also chose sprout because it rhymes with kraut. The numbers 73 are a reference to the release date for Angel's Egg by Gong, a Canterbury group. (Not Angel's Egg 85' heh, although that would've been cool, love that movie). It's a thrown together username that I didn't put much effort in, but I really like it, it has a ring to it.

The story behind the 89 has nothing to do with my birth year and it would be too tedious to explain

"chela" means beer in spanish (at least here in chile) I like beer a lot, and when i was a teenager my friends started calling me "GonChela", and then starting calling me just Chela. I liked how it sounds and started using it. Run into an issue that some games already had Chela registered soo i added an "e". If for some reason is already is occupied i add an "MS" short for Morning Star (in reference to the Belmont's Whip).

I have this username for a long time but recently i have some problems with my gender identity. Fortunely is end with an "a" soo is already considered a Feminine on traditional spanish, soo this username has been a blessing compared to others username that i had in the past, who were mostly derived from my IRL birth name.

My username because I grew up watching Dale Earnhardt and I've also been an L.A. Rams fan since 1974.

I was an original Beta Tester for XBox Live and my original gamertag (before XBox Live)... THE BATTERING RAM had already been taken by the time I had gotten logged into the Beta program after I got off work that day.

So, I chose the next best thing...

THE INTIMIDAT3R

“G” is the first letter of my name.
“7” symbolizes luck, as the number 7 is considered lucky in many cultures
“8” symbolizes infinity, thanks to its shape, which resembles the infinity symbol.
So, the whole username reflects both personal and symbolic meanings!

.. They're characters I had in various different MMORPGs over the years that I roleplayed! I've had some Japanese speakers think it means other things.. some less reputable and I can understand why! It's a little misleading. But there's no hidden context! Yuria = Elvaan, generic D&D elf and stand in name for my serious characters. Suki = Hume Samurai, Mithra Geomancer and in D&D is which ever class they need. San = Sana-San my first Tarutaru, if I ever make a short race whether that's a halfing, gnome, etc, it's Sana.

I forgot to add the name is shortened because of an old forum I used to post on! And it's just become a nickname since then!

NGL, I love your username.

It's always nice finding fellow Zim fans around the net.
