What's the simplest, most addicting game you have ever played?

I could get REALLY in the zone playing PN03 on the Gamecube for hours.

I remember at one point, I was pretty addicted to doing Royal Rumble matches in older WWE games, like Wrestlemania 2000, No Mercy, SVR 2011, 12 and 13.

My mind's telling me no, but my body is telling me yes to answer with Final Fantasy for the NES or Kingsfield for PS1. They're extremely simplistic RPG's but have a charm to me that no other game does that's drawn me back over and over again.

I prefer the GBA remake of FFI. i still own my copy of the game and I had so much fun playing it in high school. I kept the strategy guide.

I have grown kinda addicted to Tempest 2000.

Final Fight is simple but still addicting to play, and because of its simpleness, there is depth to it. Intentional and unintentional.

I still love Rez, Child of Rden, Every Extend Extra, and Tetris Effect.

When not playing comptetitively to the point of having a library of EXCEL files for a single one

Pokemon, the reason i keep replaying them is because they are that simple to pick and play while still giving me challenges

Tetris I guess is the obvious answer. But I've spent at least, idk, 250 hours of my life playing Picross games across various platforms. I've currently been whittling away at the Capcom Picross game that came out last year.

It's criminal that we don't have multiple companies making their own version of Picross. Sega, Bandai, Capcom, all have amazing opportunities for Picross games that use their IP. We can hope someday there's another big puzzle boom like the 2000's handheld generation.

Burger Break Head to Head.

What an incredibly satisfying game.

I spent a lot of time playing Peggle back in the day.

I think Vampire Survivors counts, Vampire Crawlers requires a bit more thought and I've been jamming that a lot lately.

Ball x Pit had a hold on me for a couple months, it's just Breakout with rogue lite elements so it's pretty simple.

Binding of Isaac
Neon Abyss
Doomed to Hell

I lose track of time real fast when I boot up Tetris Worlds on the GCN, or Tetris Effect Connected.

Little bit of a deep pull, but Eggo Mania: Eggrstreme Madness also on the GCN is such a fun trip to turn my brain off aswell. I love that silly game.
AND IT'S SOUNDTRACK ::neku-jam ::neku-jam
I could listen to that level for hours upon end.

Pac Man, how they made running around in a maze eating dots not only awesome, but a fun coin eater? still don't know the secret, but up to this day i still play some Pacman
