Simplicity is an art form.

One that, while not quite extinct yet, is critically endangered across videogaming (at least among major studios), and has been for a very long time.

For that reason, I want you to tell me all about those games that show us that there's a lot of beauty to playing something whose sole purpose is to entertain in the most basic way possible.

I'm personally going with Snake because I liked it so much, I used to steal my sister's Nokia 1100 just to play it a little more each and every day (and you can imagine the kind of shitstorm that brewed). It was simply worth the fighting that ensued and I can still have some honest fun with it.

This one is pretty simple and addicting. I don't know if it's simple enough to be taken into consideration.

Bundinha de Isaac

Played a looot of every version of it, except for Repentence.

AnnaLynn & Kung-Fu Master. Both are fun and addicting arcade games. With a former being a throwback to games like Pac-Man combined with Donkey Kong & Mario Bros.

Rogue-lites with a nice gameplay loop and metroidvanias with nice combat and progression like the Ender Series and Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree. May come out as standard, yeah but there were times I could put it down.

Mario Bros. I prefer that european release of the nes version that's based on that famicom disk system version. the gba version included in like all the gba mario games is also fire. Dr. Mario is also one of the most addicting puzzle games besides puyo puyo and tetris.

Does Dead Or Alive Xtreme count? Cuz' sometimes I just wanna see my girl having fun with other.
Maybe Recettear as well, it can't get any simpler than selling stuff at high markup (fuck that one girl who keep trying to sold me overprice wallpaper tho) and forced free labor.
