What would you declare as "The Worst Game" on any given platform?

TMNT mutant melee
I played that TMNT game and I found it clumsy, slow and almost unplayable and the most I could get was up to the laboratory level where you have to face a lizard, a ninja foot with invisibility ability and the 4 big mechanoids that lowers a lot of life with the onslaught and I also tried many times to not even then I could pass that level and that's as far as I got.

I didn't get far maybe 15-20 minutes in before frustration got the better of me

Probably EA Sports's Triple Play 2001 on Game Boy Color. But sports games are really easy targets for me, so I could have included most Fifa and whatever. They just bore the crap out of me.

If I gotta add actual worst contenders as games that I truly hated playing (no influences, just pure gaming experience), then maaaybe:

  • Sonic Heroes on PS2 (I'm really sorry for it, but when I get into an Eggman fight the "E" text remains in the background. This version is a complete mess.
  • Persona 1 remake for PSP (even if I'll understand how to play it and manage better the grid system, I'll still hate it)
  • Unlimited Saga for PS2: horrid combat system
  • Batman Forever for SNES: yeah, this one doesn't need to be explained, pretty sure of that
  • Battletoads in Battlemaniacs for SNES: leaving aside how much difficult the game is, but all I need to say is: level 5. F*ck this game.

mfw I'm realizing these are masterpieces compared to actual other hot garbage if I think more. Oh, I'm talking about the last 5 games in the list. Don't worry, I still despise the EA Sports slop.
I think I only unironically liked the one with the character edito-oh, wait. That was a PES, not even a FIFA. They're just doomed in my agenda. LOL

Anyways:

Final level of the arcade version of Double Dragon 2 made almost snap the control in half. But I don't think the rest is that bad. So I doubt it counts. And yet I would rather play any games in that list rather than this.

.......ok, I will probably return to this for finally beating it rather to play to a Fifa. That would make me motivated alright.

Looked like it was animated with play doh it was bad. I remember people getting refunds within the first 3 days of release. I picked it up off ebay just to try it. They shoulda lost the contract after this but somehow 2K22 was a solid return.

Star Fox Zero and it's not even close. I hate the gameplay. I hate the look. Most of all, I hate the lost potential. Star fox could have been revived, but Nintendo fumbled it again. RIP McCloud.

I was actually thinking of that game too, Nintendo fumbled Terribly with this series, It might be one of the worst generational fumbles of gaming of all time.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for the GBA. But it's not the reason you'd expect.

A stupid game called Shrek Smash n'Crash Racing (GBA). What hurts more is not that I played it, is that stupid dumb kid me had to pick over an Shrek game and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon and went for the freagging worst game I could have for the GBA.

I don't recall playing any games I would call outright bad but games I find "mediocre" often upset me more than something that's bad; I can find fun in a game that's bad, much like enjoying a movie that is so bad it loops back to being good. Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit is a game I would say is frustratingly boring and mediocre but not outright bad. It's a sound game that sets out to do a whole lot of nothing special using an IP that would lend itself really well to more interesting game.

Jesus fucking Christ, that’s a deep cut. Didn’t it turn out to just be a poor, bare-bones 3D Tetris? I’ve never played it myself — I ain’t that crazy.
Anyway, great contribution!

I think it was a few minigames, or that's what I seem to remember from checking the back cover years ago. I could have bought it for 0.5€, maybe I should have...

I played a PAL-exclusive Xena game recently, which was an absolute nightmare.

Honestly, if you see this lil Blast logo on any PS2 game, you're probably in for a bad time.

Yeah, for 50 cents, you might as well have picked it up for your collection — though, if you ask me, it’s not that big of a loss.
