What would you declare as "The Worst Game" on any given platform?

The last game I ever pre-ordered and yes I'm still mad that its forever sat in my steam library.

I distinctly recall buying a pirated disk of Jedi Power Battles for the ps1 when I was 10. During a time where you only get to play the one game your parents got you for the next several months, I only ever popped it in two times. (Different times) Something about that game just rubbed my kid self the wrong way.
Also, Worms Armageddon for the ps1. I remember wanting that one after playing it on a friend's pc. I don't remember how it played on my console, just the disappointment at the downgrade.
The ps1 is my absolute favorite console ever, but the ps2 couldn't have come out sooner...
Also, I guess these two experiences (possibly along with other ones, that I don't care to remember) taught me never to pay for any form of software. (unless I've tried it out first, put your pitchforks down... )

The first that comes to my mind is Bleach for PS3.

I was warned about them but i thought "how bad can they be?": Devil May Cry 2 and Castlevania Lamment of Innocence. What's worse than a bad game? a boring one. At least castlevania had the pumpkin mode, which was kind of fun. I also bought new super mario bros. 2 because i played the first one a lot when it came out. Not good.

The one i regret the most is majora's mask remake, i liked it but when i completed the game i wished that i had bought monster hunter 4u instead.

Spawn on PS1
WWF In Your House on PS1
Mischief Makers on N64
Silhouette Mirage on PS1

All games I had hopes for in some ways but either didn't meet those hopes, or annoyed me in ways that I eventually traded them in or whatever.

Cyberpunk 2077. I swore to myself that I would never buy another western game after that POS.

Aliens: Colonial Marines.

I didn't even buy it, just rented it and I regretted it immensely.

Edit: The likelihood of him browsing this forum is slim to none, but just in case; fuck you Randy Pitchford.

Black Ops 6. My friends really pushed it on to me. I was glad to play with them, but the game blows. Just like COD has since Advanced Warfare.

It's wild how COD went from gritty, not quite realistic but realistic enough shooter to Starship Troopers level sci-fi bullshit in what felt like the blink of an eye.

Edit: I should make it clear that I do know that COD went back to the "realistic" stuff sometime after Advanced Warfare.

I did like Advanced Warfare, it's actually one of my favorite multiplayer modes. But it definitely wasn't a good Call of Duty game. I still think World at War was the best one. Once WWII decided to not have specific flags for a specific faction I knew it was dead in the water. I did really like MW2019 though. Still one of the best Campaigns they've done, then they crapped it down the toilet with the sequel because they decided to cave to pressure from offended people because of one part in 2019's story that was fictionalized. They could've at least done something different instead of just going with a retelling of the original MW trilogy.

Biggest purchase regret is probably Spawn Armageddon.

Worst game I've ever played is probably Dragons Lair NES.

I won't bash it too much, given the fact that it is:

A) An indie game, clearly made with an intent to deliver a product that meets certain quality standards;

B) A game with  some — and I really mean "some" — redeeming qualities about it.

But man, did Children of Morta disappoint me. It really didn't live up to my expectations, but my biggest gripe with it has gotta be THE GODDAMN NARRATOR SHOUTING SO MUCH DAMN EXPOSTION.

It's annoying to the point of being obnoxious. Really hurt the experience. I'm not too much of a fan of rogue-likes, but I really was willing to give the game a chance. Like I said, there are good things about it, but I just can't recommend this. "Patience-draining", to say the least.

I've heard this is among the worst DBZ games, and unfortunately it's the only one that made it to PlayStation Vita. I wonder how it compares to the other oftenly-seen-as-bad DBZ games like Ultimate Battle 22.
Basically the idea wasn't bad, a 4 vs 4 type of game where every character specialize on something for example Gohan is a medic with more senzu beans or Goku that is more of a brawler, the problem is that the CPU of your allies on offline mode is trash, burning trash for example they die quickly and they don't help you and in a game that is about collaborating with your team, causes the game to become an unplayable mess very quickly. Altough that Naruto Sage mode costume for Goku is really cool and a cool callback to the Goku costume in Storm 3.

I came here to say something about it but @Cu-Neo beat me to it, essentially it's not really that bad it's kinda cool but built for multi-player and ends up sucking on your own. It's better than UB22, Final Bout, and stuff like that though.

As far as the thread goes the bane of my existence gaming wise is Scooby Doo & the Cyber Chase on PS1. You'd have to play it to understand but it's a mediocre Crash Clone and after the first world gets intolerable. the physics and depth perception are just terrible. All kinds of cheap deaths. I've tried to beat it like once a year since I was a kid and tap out at the same place.

the other one is Superman 64. I'm probably one of the only people on the planet who's beaten it. I decided on it over Pokémon Stadium 2 or a Tony Hawk game. My dad got 007 World is Not Enough and my brother got Conker. They had a great time with their games together and I struggled along with mine because I chose it and they both tried the first level and realized it sucked and didn't bother playing it with me. It's really not that bad once you get past the rings but it's understandable most people never tried to get past them.

Came very close to buying Back 4 Blood but a friend talked me out of it.
I'm kinda thankful.

Ha! I LOVE bad and especially janky games, they all can be fun to play during drunk nights with friends, we finished Aliens: Colonial Marines, Spoderman 2, we messed around playing Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls on how to messed up the story as much as possible.

OMGGGG I fcking hated Agarest Generations of War it was just soooooo bland unpolished unappealing and grindy I left it at about 75 hours to never touch it againnnn
I know what you feel man, I heard Skyrim was a dope game so I tried it out, after 600 hours I conclude it's just an okay game..

Time and Eternity on the PS3.
It pissed me off so much that i stopped playing video games for 6 months. Effectively killing my motiviation and made me reflect my reason for playing video games in the first place
I planned to play Time and Eternity later for some dumb reason, wish me luck.

Killzone Shadow Fall. First game I bought for the PS4 and returned it the next day, awful game

Dragon Ball Z Sagas
I feel like a lot of people in his thread have never played a legitimate awful game, I envy them.
