What was your first PC game?

Probably Sensible Soccer.

Couldn't really figure it out as a kid, but it was one of many great games we had lying around.

I played lots of games on the PC in my school computer lab, but I can't remember any one of them.
I played AOE2 (old version) through ex@gear and loved every minute of it. So that's the first game I guess.

it's basically doom with star wars themes
game got a remaster, but it really ruins the "old school" vibe to me lol

I have this via The Force Engine and plan on playing through it someday, I have Dark Forces 2 via OpenJKDF2 too.

By PC you mean an IBM Compatible. Then it's most certainly 1989's Indianapolis 500: The Simulation on a custom built 386.

I think it was Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets. Very good game, saw a video some time ago explaining that it was heavily inspired by Zelda and Nintendo actually was planning to make a game adaptation of the books, but Rowling refused to sell rights, maybe because of the art vision differences, bosses of Nintendo at the time wanted manga or Japanese inspired look, and developers of the game when creating concept art wanted to follow the spirit of book illustrations, you know, the one with cartoonish looking characters.

i'm pretty sure mine was Ys Origin on the Steam store back when i got a hand me down laptop from my family.

i really really love that game, it's one of the cornerstones of videogames i cherish overall and puts me into such a warm, comfortable trance like feeling, scaling that tower, overcoming the perils, and enjoying the necessary grind sections.

Probably one of those SpongeBob PC games from when Nick Arcade still existed. I remember really loving Obstacle Odyssey, so much in fact that I be revisited it a few years ago

Space Quest from Sierra On-Line (MS-DOS 1987). My brother got Starflight from EA the same Christmas. Both games were awesome and Starflight took a very long time to finish. Did play Starflight 2 and wish EA had continued on with the series.

Ok in this case what do you mean by "first game"? If we're talking the very VERY first, it was some edutainment game that my dad had pre-installed on the family computer back when windows XP was THE shit. I can't remember what it was even called at this point I think it had some bear as the mascot/guide thing in the game. If we're talking the first game I personally went out of my way to play I think it was a super smash flash game, the one that mimicked super smash bros melee. I remenber playing on a site called dailygames or something like that. I don't think it's a safe site to go to anymore because I somehow doubt it was maintained XD
If we're talking official software bought, I actually think it was either Terraria or Sonic Adventure 2.
Actually now that I think of it If we're talking hand-me-downs I guess Halo CE or The Sims 2. I couldn't play Halo because of the craptop and The Sims 2 was meant for a Mac, so I never got to play it.
