What kind of arcade game are you the best at?

Honestly none, I suck at all of them. ?

Idk, I play a mean Donkey Kong. Could probably give Billy Mitchell a run for his money.

I guess shmups?? though my 1cc list is fairly short - and even then, I wouldn't say I'm naturally good at them? I'm just willing to put in the time to learn them! But if I was idk trying to impress a date or something at an arcade (and they didn't have an Armed Police Batrider cab) I'd probably seek out some variation of Pac-Man; I think I can hold my own there.

No you can't, he's the best gamer of the century, he even has a plate and a couple friends that says so !

I'm mainly good at Shmups and racing games like Daytona.
While fighting games technically are/were arcade games, I actually find them really bad as single player experiences in the arcades: the AI just not good enough in these games and is incapable of emulating the competitive player vs player experience, as it's either dumb as hell or it reads your inputs before they come out. If you want a single player fighting game, just play a Beat em up, any of the Capcom ones will do.
This thread made me remember I must 1CC Ghost and Ghoblins this year.

I also must remember that there is no "H" in Goblins.
You are a GODgamer if you manage to pull this off. I don't think I'd ever manage find the patience to do it, mainly because I think that Ghost 'n Goblins is not a very good game.
Have you 1CCed Ghouls 'n Ghosts already? Big fan of that one

Nope, I played none of the Ghouls games, that will change this year ?

The only similar games I 1cc are Magic Sword and Bonze Adventure.

The rare Miku/Project Diva arcade machine since I've been training on those songs for years on psp go and vita. That and Black Tiger.

the original Raiden - the hood corner store where I grew up had a cabinet on free play so I got pretty good at it

I'm ridiculously cracked at Soulcalibur 1 in arcades. I don't know why.
I can also fuck up a game of Galaga.

I'm not good at any but it still doesn't get in the way of me playing some good shmups like Dodonpachi or rhythm games like Pop'n Music.

Fighting games I guess, good enough to keep competitive players stay on their toes.
Light gun shooter, not best not even good just less suck compared to other genre.

I once ranked in the top 30 of the Japanese points ranking in Dead or Alive 5 Arcade!
To be honest, it was just because there weren’t many players! :loldog

Definitely arcade racing games.

yeah this, almost exactly everything he said. That said, I'm not that good at shmups, but they are my favorite, so that. And I'll never say no to a round of Daytona USA or SEGA Rally when available.

I guess labyrinth type games, like pacman or rally-x
I'm Terrible at Sega am2 racing games like Hang-on and Out run, but I love those(rotating cabinets).

It's been a long time but I like to think I'm pretty good at:

Kung Fu Master
Street Fighter 1
WWF WrestleFest (Whenever I got the damn chance to play. There were always a few jerks who would dump in $5.00 worth of quarters and hog the machine for hours.)
DK Jr.
Time Pilot
Double Dragon
Bubble Bobble
