When I got my PS1, it was modded and came with 10 bootleg games. I think the first one I tried was Kartia, simply based on how the cover looked the most RPG-ish. And it's no wonder, because all character portraits were by Yoshitaka Amano.

I didn't know this strategy game but for your first strategy game it's fine.

oh man this game looks so good.. I got it years ago but havent got to it yet.. I recently downloaded a hack called "Brigandine Grand Edition," and I was wondering if youve played it and whether I should start with it or the original first... there is also a Saturn game called Shadows of the Tusk Id love to try, but no english patch.. but yeah I definately want to get to Brigandine

Honestly, for being your first strategy game it's fine and also that I played this game but it looks good for being the 2nd game of Final Fantasy Tactics.
