My friends all owned the PS1, my brother owned the PS2 and I never owned a PS3, PSP or Vita until after I got my PS4 Pro to play Death Stranding in 2019. Now I have all of them but not a PS5.

The original PS1. Got it for Christmas in 1999 with a copy of Ape Escape and Pac-Man World.

Technically the first playstation I ever bought in my life was the PS5 pro. Never owned the ps1, got the ps2 for free from a friend back in the day. Literally just the console, had to save up and buy controllers, cables, etc. PS3 was a gift from my ex at the time. PS4 I skipped the generation....so skip to January 2025 or today, and here it is now.

Grew up with the original grey PS1 as a kid. Have no recollection of when we got it, as it was my brothers and I would have been too young to remember when.

Still have a lot of fond memories of the system, it has a great library possibly only beaten by the PS2’s equally incredible library.

We don’t have it anymore and I picked up the slim PSone to go along with my CRT a few years back and it looks great. Surprised how much smaller it is.

The PlayStation One was all the rage when I was a little kid, but for years, I made do with a MegaDrive and a GameBoy because they were considerably cheaper than a PS1.

I don't even remember how I eventually got my hands on one, but I know it was around 98/99 sort of era. I think my first games were Crash 2, Lego Rock Raiders (for shame), and a bunch of Demo Disics lol.

We got it with Tomb Raider II and Final Fantasy VII, but my parents didnt know what a memory card was so we had to play from the beginning over and over until we got one

The PSOne. It still worked last I tried booting it. However, at one point, I did have its disc assembly replaced.
