If a handheld counts, the Game Boy in 1989. I wasn't allowed to have an NES as a kid but later traded some Star Wars figures to a friend for his NES in 1996.

Weirdly enough, the Famicom. I purchased an american NES waaaay later on my life.

In early 90s, I remember Snes before release was called Super Famicom in the West too. Among friends discussions we used that name. Cooler name than just Super Nintendo
