Original Arcade Toki works perfect on Mame, Childhood unlocked.
The FC/NES version is based on the arcade but in 8-bit because in the MD/GEN version it is different from the Arcade especially because of the level design although the Remake looks like the Arcade but in HD (although I have not played the Remake).

The Genesis Toki is almost sequel IIRC, all the levels are either completely new or expanded versions of old levels. It's way longer too.
Interesting, i think I will have a look into it. thankyou for your response.

Furthest I can remember playing was Tekken 2 and Dynagears at a mall
I understand you although Tekken 2 is a good fighting game along with the PS1 port that is faithful to the Arcade and Dynagears is Decent even though it only came out in Arcade.

The first Arcade game I ever played was Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, it wasn't on a arcade, it was on a party. I already knew about Street Fighter before this, but seeing it in 2D was kinda surreal, I grew up with Street Fighter EX xD

That's amazing that an Arcade was at a party even though it was rented yes, and it's good that you started with the Street Fighter EX although my favorite is the Street Fighter EX2 Plus (1999).

Here in Brazil we had SO MANY Arcade cabinets of Street Fighter 2: Champion Edition at parties! I remember one place that had a room only for arcades, and they had like 4 machines of Street Fighter 2, and they were always being used in the two parties I went xD
Also, great taste! I still love the Street Fighter EX trilogy even to this day, Skullomania is a legend in my family xD

Thank you so much for telling the story of SF2: CE arcade cabinets in Brazil that there were lots due to the high popularity that Street Fighter II had at that time and it's a good game and SF2 version by the way.

The first actual arcade cabinet I ever saw, it was installed in one of those entretainment spaces for kids to celebrate their birthdays, I was around 3 or 4 years old I think, I loved it.

Without a doubt one of the most iconic Arcade games along with Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man.

I think the KOF 2002 I played, I don't know if it was through an Arcade Machine with Multigames in a Native way like the 161-in-1 from Neo-Geo or in an emulated way like the Blue Elf 1 108-in-1 which apart from Emulate Neo-Geo also emulated CPS1 and CPS2.

As a curious fact is that the KOF 2002 versions of PS2 and XBOX have 3D scenarios instead of 2D and also that the setting of the final battle against Rugal is in Blacknoah instead of Cambodia as in the other versions of the game.

My favorite arcade games are the Dungeons and Dragons TOD and SOM. I did not finish either in the arcades as I usually play alone and I end up using all my tokens. I finished both when I played it with my friend on his Xbox series X. It really is nice to have unlimited coins and not playing alone.

I played both Dungeons & Dragons games but through emulation as MAME and they look good.

That's really a great question...my honest answer would definitely be: who the hell remembers it? Between sunday school (which were very temporary anyways), some minor luna park and summer vacations with parents, I feel the possible answers can be:
  • Point Blank
  • Puzzle Bobble
  • Super Pang
  • the Capcom's D&D beat'em up/NBA Jam/etc. (maximum other 2 I have no clue which ones were), but both are very unlikely to have been the first ones.
  • Wonder Boy (and another one I really can't remember the name)
  • Metal Slug X
These are definitely the ones ever first seen But if I have to pick the one that was most likely the first one ever played, I'd pick the last one. Definitely have put arcade coins to try that one. First time I got an arcade stick (the Tekken 6 one) and played Metal Slug X with it, the nostalgia was tangible.
