I'm playing Ys 6: The Ark of Nephishtim on PC. I beat Ys X: Nordics recently and wanted some more adventures with Adol. Also playing the Doom mod "Golden Soul 2", which is like what happens when you toss Super Mario World and Doom 2 into a blender. I love it!

I'm currently switching between Test Drive Unlimited 1, GTA Online and Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, in PC.

As far as modern games are concerned, I've been playing a bit of marvel rivals and a smidge of tekken 8 (mainly just practice mode). Been playing more retro games lately. namely: GT1, NFS 3: Hot Pursuit, Burnout: Revenge, God Hand, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, and the ps1 Fist of the north star game.

i've had disgaea 6 running in the background for about 4 solid months now. i've actively been playing pikmin1, pikmin 2 mods, a little bit of phantasy star online 1 and 2, megaman x command mission, ff4 celes and terra edition, and mole mania.

I'm trying to play through all of the Pokémon games I missed out on when I stopped playing back in 2011. So far I've beaten Black and White and I'm doing post game content in Black 2 and White 2. I still need to beat Heart Gold, Soul Silver, X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, Ultra Moon, Let's Go Pikachu, Let's go Eevee, Sword, Shield, Legends: Arceus, Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl, Scarlet, and Violet

Currently playing Racing Lagoon On Duckstation:

It's a Racing jrpg never released outside Japan, with a story (something you don't usually see in racing games, and when they DO have a story, it's usually not that great).
This game got an English Patch so I tried it out.
Although I'm still in Chapter one (Chapters in this game are called Midnights), the game is pretty great, you should try it.

I’ve been playing with fate.
I mean I’ve been playing valkaria revolution
To my dismay.

Instead, I've now been playing a lot of Fatal Labyrinth on the Genesis.
I never mentioned it, but I beat this right before New Year's! It was a fun, if extremely barebones, dungeon crawler, and I did enjoy it, but it's not really anything special and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I was very surprised to see Hirokazu Yasuhara and Naoto Ohshima in the credits, though! This must have been the game they were working on right before they went over to Sonic 1. NEAT! Fatal Labyrinth is impressive for a very, very early console roguelike, and I do kind of like how the game handles "beating" the dungeon, but I don't think the Genesis was really made for a game like this.

Over the holidays, I dropped a bit of Christmas money on quite a few different PSN games, and the one I've been playing over the past week is Burnout Paradise. I know that this game has a reputation as being THE BEST CAR GAME EVER, and as someone who effing hates driving games of any sort, I was kind of curious as to how I'd respond to it. I think I'm getting close to the endgame... I've got my A-Level license, so I imagine the Burnout one's after that.

It's... pretty good? I like that it's open-world, and that there's no buggering story or anything – they just let you loose and you can really do whatever you want. I'm having quite a bit of fun with testing out all the different cars, and the world is really gorgeous (especially for a 17-year-old game!). I even have fun with a lot of the missions... but the game sorely, sorely needed more variety. There are only five mission types, and, honestly, once you've done one "smash the cars" event, you've done them all.

And you need to do a LOT of these fucking missions – A- and B-level licenses make you do over 35 each! All the missions reset once you go up a "level", so you can just do the ones you've already done again, but I can't help feeling it's all a bit redundant. I love open-world games, but I hate it when you're just given a checklist of stuff to do instead of making a little progress with every incremental task you complete, and Burnout Paradise is basically checklist city. It's fun – it is, and I don't even like these kinds of games! But I just see how many missions I have left and kind of groan.

It's definitely a game made for 25+-year-old men to play a little bit every day after work in the year 2009, which I suppose isn't the worst thing in the world. One other thing I'm not really crazy about is the licensed soundtrack – some of the song they chose are very good, but there's way too much Hell's Angels-wannabe tripe (Twisted Sister, etc.), for my liking. And some of the songs are the buggering radio edits, which makes Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" utterly unlistenable! I honestly just don't even listen to the game anymore, I just play a podcast in the background. SORRY

Duuuude I’m legit glad you liked burnout paradise, Even if mildly

I've been playing Harmony of Dissonance since last year. Not a bad game, but certainly not the best Castlevania. Currently, I'm enjoying my vacations playing both Silent Hill 2 and 3, and hot take but the third one is th best out of these two. Also, I started Life is Strange Before the Storm (Chloe Price is the best videogame character ever and there is this game to prove that.) Not the most optimazed game but hey my machine runs it quite ok.

(my english is so bad sorry

I only ever played the first episode of Before the Storm when it first came out – I really must finish the whole series someday – but I liked it a lot, too. Chloe is surprisingly tolerable when she's just on her own, and, honestly, I didn't really miss all the time-rewind bullshit from the base game. I really just like the Life is Strange characters and atmosphere.

I kinda want to do a Zelda stream marathon, but I think I'll start next month so I have weed to smoke while I game. I've been keeping up on collecting them, but haven't gotten to play the mass quantities of good SNES and 64 Zelda hacks that have been coming out the past few years.

I finished SMT VV recently. It had its good points, but its hard for me to like a game solely for gameplay when the story/setting/characters mostly suck. I'll probably try to slowly finish other games I've started in 2024, like Alice Madness and Little King's Story, as I won't have much time for gaming these months...

Been enjoying “Galerians” for the ps1 emulated on my computer, just completed the second part. I have to work on my timing regarding attacks. I struggled a lot with the Birdman fight, but that was probably because I didn’t leave enough healing capsules for myself.

I’ve been enjoying the rule of cool characters designs, I find it rather charming. The setting is also interesting, it’s got that steampunk futuristic, yet 90s technology thing going on, idk about some of the designs dictions for the house though, like the giant clown head over the mc’s bed and how the parents have separate beds(find them pretty funny).

The story is pretty interesting so far, although both sides are pretty bad, just taking down the worse of two evils.
