What games would you say they are perfect without sequels, remakes or any other new release?

Kingdom Hearts 1 (but I'm still glad we got KH2).

Resident Evil (1996), after the main writter left there has been too many continuity errors between RE1 and RE2, and I suspect this is why Capcom pushes for the remake to override the original from the canon.

God of War 1

Oneechanbara 1, the sad end is truly perfect the way it is and is honestly a good example of a game being actually mature.

Left 4 Dead 1

Quake 1

.hack//Quarantine

Fatal Frame 3

Burnout Revenge

Gradius Gaiden, in my opinion the sweet spot of challenge and fairness of the saga, it already plays smoothly and has enough content by itself, at best it needs a port to modern consoles

As it is, easily accessible on multiple platforms, comes with the soundtrack, perfect gameplay loop, great story that concludes in the game. Perfect, down to every minute detail.

Ironically, it was going to be a one off had it not done well. Welp, too bad. We got Resident Evil 2 and some the best horror, horror action, and return to horror games ever made.

God Hand - even though i'd love a sequel and a reissue
A port/remaster would be good enough for me. The closest you're gonna get to a sequel is MadWorld and Anarchy Reigns. The other non-Platinum Games options are Evil West and Sifu.

Sifu definitely does not need a sequel of any kind. Outside of the sequel baiting in the original (which is more of the adventure continues type ending) Viewtiful Joe really never needed a sequel to begin with. Guardian Heroes deserves to be ported modern consoles. Just use the XBLA port and put on them and PC.

I could say, of course, the classic mom third game that I never shut up about. But I already did, so lets go with a little game called Dynamite Headdy. That's one of those games thats simply perfect as a standalone experience that perpetually exists in the moment it was first released. And it was always intended to be just that.

Sunset Riders

And yes, I specifically mean the SNES versions.
They sound better and SNES controller is better suited to the gameplay than their Genesis counterparts.
I might be willing to substitute the Arcade version of Sunset Riders.

The arcade version doesn't suffer from censorship, though I don't mind the name change of the Native American boss. Hell, in the arcade archives version, they use his SNES name, while keeping everything else uncensored. The music is great in the SNES, but sounds much better in the arcade. It has Konami bass and snare drum combo I love so much in the arcade version of Turtles in Time.

It did get a much needed remake of the first two games, combined into one. Also, the original was more bittersweet outright sad. That said, the first game plays like shit.

I highly doubt this will happen, but Oneechanbara Z2 does not need a sequel. Where do you even go from there? Aya, Saki, Kagura, and Saaya are all at their most powerful now (still not as powerful as someone like Dante, Vergil, or Nero), and pretty much wiped out anyone left who are their enemies, or had a grudge against them. Tying up any loose ends. The duo sisters pretty much have a permanent truce with each other now as well. The only way sequel to this can work is either focus on Kaguara and Saaya (since they are/were the new gen protags) or focus on another different set of Baneful Blood sisters. Though that would be redundant at this point.

Ikaruga don't need a sequel, considering it is already a sequel to Radiant Silvergun.
