what game that hits you hard like it makes you say "wow..this hits hard" ?
like the story, the characters, maybe endings
as i'm currently playing and made me feel some thing is disco elysuim, i cannot explain how much it made an impact on me, it's the most greatest game i've ever played in my whole life
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days like i already immersed myself inti the world, the characters espescially the relationship of Axel, Xion and Roxas and when it started to crumble apart that's hit me.
But what hits me the hardest was the ending cuz all those effort, all those crying all for nothing because Roxas wasn't the actual main character of this series but this kid named Sora.
(For context Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days was my first KH games)
Conker Bad Fur Day: its ending explains everything... especially as I played this as kid
Digital Devil Saga 2: the entire game is filled of feelings
Mother 3: no explaination needed
Ico and shadow of colossus, a lot of people find those games boring/annoying, but they're like masterpiece games that are worth experiencing, also the last guardian is pretty much the same devs
persona 3 goes hard, so much death so much dark in the story,
they REALLY dropped the ball on Persona 4 turning it all scooby doo, seriously all they needed was the mystery machine, WAY too happy of a game compared to 3, let alone the entire megami tensei franchise
persona 5 made up for it but was not really all that dark, fun though, just not hard hitting story.

my first KH was chain of memories, i didn't own a PS2 at all so...
...horrible idea, BUT the plot twist REALLY got me i'll explain (SPOILERS IF YOU GIVE A CRAP ABOUT KH spoilers in 2026)
so i'm playing this as my FIRST kingdom hearts game, remember, i had ZERO clue what the story was on KH1 or 2 thus far
you go through the game, sora goes through all his old memories revisiting all the worlds from KH1, but during the story his memories of Namine show up, he treats her as a friend and all like they've known each other forever on the islands, no question, just yep best friends YAY!
...and by the time you get the end of the game sora finds out all the memories of her are entirely fake
so imagine sora being like hella confused already, as Riku puts it "your memories are a train wreck!"
so i had no clue what was "fake" or "real" so i felt exactly like sora did, lost and confused.
so also, i played all teh GBA,DS,and PSP games FIRST, never owned a PS2, and my PCs at the time sucked at PS2 emulation (ran KH1 at like 10-20 % speed, 2 was much the same)
so that means i played chain of memories, 358/2, re:coded, birth by sleep,
so i didn't play KH 1 or 2 until the PS3 remasters came out, but DAMN did i appreciate the story more when i finally did.
Post automatically merged:
the Tales of games some of them had some deep storylines.
I especially like Tales of Graces, and i liked it more with my Brother playing with me, because the story also has the two brothers at opposing sides for a while, the personalities matched a bit too much,
the final boss is basically one of your friends was kinda deep and when you kicked his ass the main guy still helps him back up like they're still friends was emotional to me
...and then if you go into the lineage and legacy mode (only ps3 and after have this) and the story keeps going, like the conclusion was great but they somehow made it work without feeling like extra DLC filler storyline (especially when you unlock new mechanics and moves, feels like a 2nd game sequel)
my favorite STORY WISE, tales game
If asked again later (and later again) I will probably change my mind, but for right now it's the first two hours of Persona 4 Golden. Yep, just the first two hours.
Later it will be A Short Hike (I feel that very strongly), and later again it will be Alan Wake 2. Yep.

Ayo Chain Of memories was my second game and somehow playing days made me understand Chain Of Memories better lol, then i played Re:Coded then Birth By Sleep. So practically only the spinoff first then i played KH2 then after that i played KH1
Captain tsubasa 2: super striker
At the beginning is easy but after 6 matches it have a big difficult increase
The CPU doesn't have mercy with you and in some matches it spam the super moves.
And yeah, when I played DMC3 it was very hard, but fun
Enemies like those big spiders were too annoying and neva.... Uuuh man she was so hard to beat
I own it (and have completed it) in three different platforms, have gone at it no less than 25 times, and I'm convinced that it still holds secrets for me to find.
Yu-No: A Girl who Chants Love from the End of the World. Finished it nearly 2 months ago and still find myself tearing up any time I think about it or listen to some of the music from the OST.
Been talking with tattoo artists about getting one of Yu-No; she left such a mark on me that I want to make it a literal one. Also planning on eventually submitting a review as a writer’s guild application as a way to try and give something back.
