What are your thoughts on TADC?

i still enjoyed it but i liked it for the randomness of things they were doing early on, but when the actual plot came in it was... massively depressing till the end.
also i felt it was too short, there was a CRAPTON they could have emphasized on, they just shoved kinger and jax's past into a quick montage blender, that could've been entire episodes on their own.

you know what the same exact thing happened with RWBY, fun early on, too serious near the end, and ended too quick (cancelled more like)

TADC is a pretty good show IMO. while i have some issues with the rushed finale and the screentime bias of some of the characters. i greatly enjoyed the animation, i found it funny and i did loved the characters and their emotional moments.

TADC was pretty good, saw the finale in theaters and it was fantastic.
The only real criticism is that gooseworx was often too subtle in the actual episodes so she had to post publicly about the reveal involving Jax because she overestimated peoples reading comprehension.

i really liked it, i think the character design is really well done, everyone feels unique, and the no physical consequences but yes mental consequences is a topic i really like in media, also i am in tune with the show's humor i think i enjoyed every joke, and i am gay for caine

I enjoyed the show in a vacuum, without engaging with fans on social media and it was good. After I saw the ending, which was a bit too premature for my tastes, I got curious enough to see what people's takeaway from it was. I was disappointed to learn that it's just arguing about identity politics all the way down and the show's plot and lore got completely overshadowed by that in the public discourse. I get that it's a hot-button issue de jour for westerners, but that's exactly what has made discussions over the show so reductive. (I have no opinion on the matter, as I am not a westerner; people on social media have too much anger...)

Also, I can understand why fan-fiction communities for this show are so active; a lot of the characters and the setting are underutilized and seem to outgrow the plot.

Perfectly fine children’s show that loses the plot when it gets to deep into its own mediocre characters. Not bad or anything I like that the ending is untidy but the show is really held back by just how cut and dry the dialogue is during its more serious scenes. It’s very “ therapy speak” one character states an insecurity they have and another offers an alternative opinion then they hug out.

I've been meaning to say this for a long time now, but held off on saying because I was scared of potential backlash from the fandom, but I hate to break it to you all, but Gooseworx is not a good writer. She's the furthest thing from.
There is too much wasted potential in this show, character assassination galore, even those who are already flat characters to begin with, shoddy worldbuilding, more plot holes than an entire street road in Brazil, unanswered questions after unanswered questions, shallow messages at best and harmful and dangerous messages at worst, being told one thing in this show and then shown something completely different to contradict that claim (as in the constant failure to use "show, don't tell" efficiently), inconsistent continuity, janky dialogue that feels awkward at best and forced at worst, unnecessary conflict resolution, the noticable lack of nuance, and the fact that despite being advertised as a psychological horror show, it's clearly anything but. It feels more like a kids show with adult humor.
The only positives I can see out of this show are the gorgeous animation, the beautiful soundtrack, and the stunning voice acting. That's basically what held this show together, if we're completely being honest. Otherwise the writing is just simply BAD. I don't know why people glaze this show's writing to be honest.
