What are some of your other hobbies?

Outside of gaming I love experiencing other visual arts. I watch movies, anime, I read manga and comic books. Very often I go to the various art galleries in my city and also to the concerts (mainly underground and experimental bands), yeah I love music. Outside of this I like to play board games with friends and lately I try to get into TCGs (Pokemon, Flesh and Blood).

Music/audio. Strange guitars from around the world. Luthiering and semi-restoring/modification.
Graphic design and illustration.
Video art, visual effects, editing and production.

Do... do they still count as hobbies if you get paid, lol? 🤣

drinking I work with art so naturally I like a lot of art related stuff, like searching for artists and paintings and visiting galleries. I used to watch a lot of films too, pretty much anything made before 2010, from these slow and difficult films like Tarkovsky and Bergman to silly and strange like a chinese horror film about an alien cat called Lao Mao or the downright cursed films of John Waters. Also all kind animation films too. Though lately I only watch films with other people, feels like I lost the patience to watch films alone and would rather play games instead. I also like reading classics and mythology, and also read experimental manga (lately I was reading Dementia 21, its an evil beautiful mess).

I'm an amateur artist. I work with charcoal, graphite, colored pencils and watercolor. Every once in a blue moon I make something that looks decent. Yoshitaka Amano is my main inspiration. If I ever make something that looks as good as his work I can die happy. I also enjoy rom hacking and such. I've made some small contributions here and there to FEUniverse but haven't released anything yet.

That's gotta be football, I just love doing the power shot over and and over again against the goal post or crossbar (especially to let out that stress). It's really a great practice too because I can switch whether to use power or technique to shoot it.

But it's not just about shooting of course, juggling the ball is also something that's worth practicing too. It can improve your ball control while improving your footwork and stability. It's a very good exercise and it's one of the best sports too

I enjoy movies and anime but I really love building custom PCs, and believe it or not, troubleshooting PCs (unless I can't resolve the issue, then I hate it lol). Never tried a watercooled setup though, looks like too much of a hassle for my patience lol.

I also enjoy building mini retro gaming devices on RaspberryPis or other similar SBCs (single-board-computers). I enjoy the entire setup process, including flashing a flavor of Linux on the SD card, SSHing into the SBC from my computer and updating it. I also enjoy tweaking the front-end and then testing it all out.
A few years ago I built my own SNES minis and sent them to a couple friends as gifts. I found a replica SNES mini case and put in a Raspberry Pi 4 in there. I was even able to find a front-end that was similar to the original SNES mini UI.
With each one I made I learned a little more and it was gratifying to see each build become more polished Than the last. I had to stop myself from building more because I was getting hooked and it wasn't cheap lol

Woah nice work!

Wow, thanks guys! Didn't expect all of the likes.

As someone who was notoriously inept in gym class, I think that's cool.

I like reading. Mostly horror and science fiction. Most of the films I watch are horror and science fiction too. Generally anything weird or mindbending is my favorite. I also like articles about nature and history. I used to draw and make pixel art but not much anymore. This cat face avatar was something I made for Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer.

I like going for long walks in cold weather. I listen to the radio a lot. Rock radio. Not talk.

I also feed community cats. It costs me. But I'd rather feed hungry cats than buy junk I don't need. Today I had five cats following me. Three of which have homes. But I gave them treats anyway because it's like how you can't give a cookie to one kid and not the other. One of the cats I feed gets bullied a lot so I try to get her alone and give her something. She's gaining weight now and looks much better.

Yeah, I do a fair bit of reading as well.

A year ago, I joined a reading challenge which goal was to finish all unread books on my bookshelf (17)... it has since morphed into something bigger (152).

I haven't read anything in a really long time, but the list was updated when I finished #132, in case anyone's curious about which books I read and what I thought of them.

Gardening is my most recent hobby but im a real noob
the old lady next door laughed at my tomatoes and said hers are bigger

I enjoy reading novels of various genres, but if a book does not capture my attention from the first chapter I hardly want to continue reading it. Otherwise I love neo-realism film especially Italian and French, as well as many Japanese directors. Another passion of mine is music. I like all genres except jazz, which I sometimes find boring. Lately I have been listening to a lot of classical music.

Outside of gaming, that is.

Me? I love dancing and playing baseball.

I may not be particularly great at either, but I find them both extremely fun and relaxing.

What about you?
outside of gaming...
i guess it would be drawing, I'm not that good at it either but I enjoy it since it gives me a bit of relaxation. Other than drawing it would be reading.
