TV Shows You’re Currently Watching (NOT ANIME)

I recently watched Katla. An Icelandic show on Netflix about a glacial volcano that spews ash everywhere. Then doppelgangers of both living and dead people start to appear. It's very weird and everyone is so miserable and gloomy. I caution you if you want to watch it. There's some very hard to handle stuff in there.

The Boys. Pretty much just seeing it through out of obligation at this point - I didn't care much for the last season and even this one has had so much unimaginably tiring filler that I barely even care how it ends any more. The tone, the writing, the flip flopping of characters, it's all just garbage. Whatever spin offs they're setting up, and V-Rising or whatever it was called, they can keep them.

I'm not really watching any other ongoing shows at the moment. Thinking of picking up Stargate or X-Files though.

When I was younger I watched NYPD Blue, it was my favorite non-cartoon show growing up and my husband has never seen it so of course my jaw dropped and we’ve been watching it. We are on season 7. Still a great show to rewatch, it’s been a looooong time since I’ve seen it lol

it sure takes a specific state of mind to watch something with a long episode count, but oddly only the first Kamen Rider has a staggering amount of episodes, it drops from 98 to 32 and then fluctuates to around an average of 30-50 episodes.

Ultraman & Ultra Q have around 34, so that could be a comfortable run time.

fell back into the hole of re-watching all of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. God, that show is so fucking good. There has never been another show that has recreated the style the show perfected. Obviously it's not without its criticisms, like Xander during the first 3 seasons being the worst, many plot points that have aged like milk, and the Joss Whedon stank lingering in many areas, but that doesn't change the fact that this show fucks immensely.

im a HUGE 'sit-down, do nothing, eat chips and watch TV' person and there are a MULTITUDE of shows im watching right now. so much that I frequently mix up the plots of them (somehow I mistook a k-drama for smallville. don't ask me how )

right now it's Public Affairs Office in the Sky, a japanese drama about a disgraced reporter turned tv show director meeting a former fighter pilot that got into a car accident and is now working for the JASDF's public affairs office. i'm not gonna lie I started this one because i thought the guy was cute but it turned out to be PEAK

The other one is Bloodhounds, its a korean drama about a boxer guy whose mom took out a loan from but couldnt pay them back and subsequently messing up her small business, so he teams up with his sparring buddy and a moneylender's daughter to take on the loan sharks it is REALLY good please watch it if you're interested in starting kdrama

I am watching the X-Files, currently at the start of Season 5.

I will watch the first movie but I don't think I'll watch the rest of the series since people say that it peaked around the first 5 seasons.
