TV. The idiot box. The boob tube. The electric simpleton. The cubic universe. That thing you used to watch. Let’s talk about it!

Post whatever shows you’re currently watching here, and tell me what you think of them. Because I’m an angel, I’ll also allow web originals and streaming-based shows, too. So sit back, relax (anyone who uses the preceding phrase in the introduction to their TV show should be executed by the state), and tune in!

I’ve been doing my best to try and ketchup with what I missed out in the sopranos, mentalist, house and castle.
Yes I’m talking about tv shows.
I’d like to rewatch scrubs one day. Maybe finally finish true detective and twin peaks too.
Yeah yeah I have a big backlog.
Edit: why am I so obsessed with hospital dramas like a 40 y/o housewife?

I'm currently rewatching a nice and awful British sitcom I somehow ended up watching when it originally aired - Coupling.
Aged like fine milk, absolutely would not recommend. Had a massive crush on one of the actresses back then and I'm loving the awful early 2000s fashion though.

Aside from that I watch an episode or two of Always Sunny every now and then. It's been pretty barren when it comes to shows for me lately.
The Diplomat was pretty decent, I suppose. Charming semi-smart dialogue, some charismatic performances.

i am soo bad for watching shows in general. Prefer video games to be honest.
Most recent one i've watched was Rick and Morty. I think is just okay.
But one that i liked a lot that i was watching with my father when he was sick last year was "Lupin"(2021) My father loved it because it was a fun series to watch, i liked it because i read the Arsene Lupin books and i do love some Lupin fanatism.

In the most depressing and humiliating words I’ve ever written on this forum: I’ve seen every episode of the American adaptation. It made me want to end myself in thirty-minute increments. (Though, like you, I had a crush on the main actress. ?)

I have no idea if the original show is any good or not, but the American Coupling is like a bad ripoff of Two and a Half Men (already a show I find truly insufferable). Aside from Three’s Company, I don’t think there’s a single American adaption of a UK sitcom that I actually like.

There's an American adaptation?! Ooh that sounds rancid, I'm gonna check it out asap!

Statistically speaking I feel pretty safe in assuming the British version is probably better, I'm with you on that, but you're not missing much. It's just another one of the usual sex comedies that the 00s were so in love with.

I will say that it does have a couple moments where it all works though and it doesn't make me want to end myself, so there is that. ?

I'm watching The Expanse. It's a solid hard Sci-Fi show that involves all sorts of action and political intrigue. I recommend it if you're hankering for a more grounded approach to science fiction.

Takeshi's Castle with Sasuke periodically when I'm working but usually if I want to relax I'll watch some Journey to the West or The Bund, I don't really watch TV that often but maybe I should catch up on the latest shows since everyone else is! I haven't even watched ASOIAF yet ever since my friend told me it gets really bad after season 4.

.. I forgot to add Monkey, my bad!

I'm watching Star Trek: The Next Generation with a couple friends. We're about halfway through season 5, but haven't watched in awhile because of work and college obligations of one of my buds. Absolutely loving the show. Not every episode has been perfect, some have been outright shit, but the good far outweighs the bad. We plan on watching Deep Space 9 after we finish TNG.

Otherwise, Beavis and Butt-Head is always in my rotation. It's kinda my comfort show when I'm feeling down. Have not watched the new seasons yet, but I have acquired them so it's only a matter of time. Police Squad! and Garth Marenghi's Darkplace will also be shown to my TNG buddies. This is not optional.

I finally got around to watching squid game. It passed me by completely when it was new.
I have mixed emotions about it. It’s a well made and well acted critique of capitalism but I absolutely detest how fast and thorough it became part of the machine. The original creator hates it by now, there have been at least two recent shows doing the same shtick, completely devoid of self-awareness. It’s a marketing sensation. It all just rubs me the wrong way and makes me kinda icky. I’ll probably continue watching because it’s a good enough show, but I think I’ll pirate it from now on.

Club de Cuervos, a mexican comedy series about two siblings who inherited a football team after their dad passed away.

The series is about the fight for the ownership and direction of the team, whilst the team struggles to stay on the main division of México's football league

Also, House M.D. for like the 8th time

Recently I've watched the first two seasons of Parker Lewis Can't Lose.

I have a huge nostalgia and Season 1 is my favourite (although some S2 are nice). I heard S3 wasn't that good...

I'll also need to finish Malcolm in the Middle.
