When it comes to the melodrama, you're either a fan of it or you're not. I personally love how overly sincere and sappy it all is, I'm a Kingdom Hearts fan after all. The combat is definitely bland, but it gets the job done well enough and I appreciate that it tries to be unique despite its limitations. Looks great, has one of the best soundtracks in the franchise and Zack is forever one of my favorite protags of all time.
It's a fantastic game overall, even if I think his new VA in the remaster was not up to the task. They recast nearly everybody and most of them were fine, but man oh man I could not stand the new Zack VA.
