You were right, Switch 2 is coming.
is coming but with updated priceYou were right, Switch 2 is coming.
This is not true actually. Only if the game is updated with new features for Switch 2 do you have to pay for the upgrade. It's also up to the developer if they want to charge for it. It works the same way ps4 games on ps5 work, every ps4 game runs on ps5 but if you want a version with updated features and improved graphics, devs can choose to charge for that. Specifically with the Switch 2, Nintendo is choosing to charge for Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdoms updates. Every game is not like this and i'm also pretty sure if you just put the Switch 1 version of Zelda in the system it will still run just without the enhanced graphics and improved performance of the Switch 2 versionis coming but with updated price
if you own a game previous version of nintendo switch you need to pay another $10 to make it run on switch 2
XC2 has one of the most insultingly stupid cast of characters in any game I've played, and that's saying a lot.The first Xenoblade game is the only actually good one, I love X but it's story is whatever. 2 and 3 are not real games, they are genuinely abysmal in storytelling, writing and characters. I'm sorry, someone had to say it.
If you really only want to play X and if you have a decent PC, you can emulate X on Cemu with mods that'll make it look even better than the definitive edition I would imagine. That's how I played it and even without mods I'd say it graphically holds up honestly.
With that being said, no console is worth buying for 1 game, and with the Switch 2 on the horizon I don't think buying a Switch unless it's a used one for cheap is worth it at all. Take it from someone who owns one, the console lacks so many quality of life features that other consoles have and it's services are so slow and unreliable that I wouldn't buy one unless it was cheap.
