I hate it when people think they deserve respect just because they have a higher position or are older. I also hate it when people think that others don't deserve respect just because they have a lower position or are younger.

People who think that they're superior for having a niche hobby... most hobbies can bring people like this, including video games. But sports, books, computers, cars... there's great groups of people in all of these circles but also some people who feel above you for knowing more about a specific subject.

I ended up leaving r/pcmasterrace a few years back on Reddit despite having been on it for ages because so many people think they're so much smarter for having built a PC and instead of proper discussion, it just became snobby and close minded imo. The "master race" title was originally satirical, but things change unfortunately.

There's the one side of people who find themselves to be superior because they're on Linux (the "I use Arch btw" folks, but unironically), but THEN there's also a huge group of Linux haters who think that Linux is bad and too hard, and then proceed to hate Microsoft... Very confusing and hypocritical to me lmao
