Both are offering you something they assure you is great, but you can only pick one...

For me I go with the GameCube I really like the GameCube even is lacking in Rpgs but pretty good library like the Mario Part 4 Luigi's Mansion Bomberman Generation, Lost Kingdom.

The Dreamcast, which can even play movies on its own.

The only advantage I see to the GameCube is that it provides its own method to hang it up to dry xD

I wanted to love this game so bad but the camera once you get into the mall section was absolutely beating my ass
Hahaha! I know it all too well, the camera is certainly ass but by god do i love every other bit of jank and dialogue this has to offer.

Both don’t have a lot of staples. But there’s still more to play with the Dreamcast.
After all, what does the GC have, fuckin’ melee?

One is a cube shaped system with a great first party library that unfortunately lacked proper third party support, it had a killer UI and can link to a handheld and be used as a second screen, four players local, ahead of its time but couldn't play DVD movies like the conpetition which hurt its sales.

The other is the Gamecube.

Does the Gamecube have this hidden gem?

Gamecube easily. I don't really care much for Arcade games, and that's what like 80% of the Dreamcast library is. The only games I'd want from Dreamcast that aren't on Gamecube would be Grandia 2 and Jet Set Radio.
