Hmm I guess my way of trying to sympathise with you was not so clear huh?I don't understand how any of what you say is relevant to what i said. Infact i don't understand what you're trying to say at all. But some of this... Especially the part where you said mental health depends on your own beliefs angers me. With things like paranoia and depression and panick attacks... Those won't stop happening no matter what you do or believe in. You can't just wish bad things away when they keep happening or ignore your own downwards spiral and pretend everything is okay when everything is falling apart.
It's not about pretending everything is ok. You will fail in life if you believe everything is ok.
Then let's just say by your own logic I use the way how "everything falls down" for my own advantage.
You focus on what happens that is negative while most people focuses on how to use what happens to their benefit, otherwise everyone would focus on the negativity never to find whatever is positive to them. I mean the negativity people are aware is always there, this is not mental illness, but for sanity people distract themselves with positive stuff. Not to pretend "everything is ok", it's just because instead of focusing on what is negative people find a way to focus on what is positive.
So your concerns happens to everyone but it's not about people can "ignore it" and "act like everything is ok". While you focus on these which everyone does, people also focuses on whatever is positive to them. That's where having hobby; distracting yourself with social media, the movie you wanna watch, video game you wanna play and all comes in. When people are so stressed and constantly feels negative they undergo a period of they cannot feel positive because they are like "filled with too much negativity". That's when extreme negative thoughts and believes comes in and panic attacks start to happen. For these to happen you don't have to be "mentally ill", but current greedy capitalist society would make you believe you are mentally ill just to make money from ordinary stuff that happens to everyone. When you get too negative you gotta expose yourself to positivity a lot until you feel good. For example some people are more sensitive to boredom so with little bad thing they go crazy (like my mother lol) while some people endures negativity for a long time. In the end because we are humans we always have to distract ourselves with positivity to keep sane even if it means it's about "oh look this bird looks so majestic", "wow I like the weather today" and "I can't wait to play X video game when I return to my home from work". When people look for grand reasons to feel good as if to feel good you need "big deal stuff" this is when they get depressive and start to have mental illnesses.
I know it may angered you when I said "mental health depends on your belief" but I tried to mean, for everyone to keep sane they make themselves believe in a positive bubble of reality they live in to feel good about their lives so they find their own way to fill their reality with whatever is positive to them. So my previous post was about this topic on what people does to keep sane by mentioning how I keep myself sane. In the end everyone has to find their own way to keep sane.
I also think so because what I had to do to deal with my pyromania. Pyromania is a condition that people feel like they should burn stuff. A primitive way to fix it is loading you with drugs and talking to you regarding what is irrelevant about it. So I found my own way to deal with it by realizing "it was all in my head" and make myself believe in something else. After all human brain works in a way whatever it believes in and what it rejects. Not to mention we are biological beings greatly effected by how our body function as in genes and current chemical reaction patterns to affects what we think and believe. In the end I can say everyone is mentally ill in their own contex, they just have to find their way to make themselves function properly.
