The PS Vita was already legendary. I now have the PlayStation Portal. It's not a handheld but it's still awesome. You can play games on the PS Vita; I've had every model. It never gets old. I'm back to the PS3 movie. I ordered the Dragon Ball Budokai HD Collection for two days. The consoles from back then were awesome no one can argue with that.
Sure you could come at me with the SteamDeck and the ROG, but the Vita really put the PlayStation - along with its legacy - right into your hands. For those of us who have a PS Vita, it's absolutely MINDBLOWING how the Henkaku/Henlo/Enso hack really unleashes this console's potential. I have 5 Vitas (I know I know, I got into collecting them), and 4 of them are hacked. The 5th is the original Vita that I got (it's a 3G model) in mid-2013, and despite its awesomeness, it's just BORING without the hack. The 5th one collects dust, but I'll be hacking it soon. :)
I'm getting my 3rd Vita soon and it'll be my first 2000 model! Torn on which of these colors to go with. I kind of like the tasteful contrast of the black sticks and screen outline on the 2nd one, but the all white is just so clean!
I'd suuuper recommend the all-white! To me it looks better without the black bezel; makes the controls look smaller overall. I currently have a pearl white PSP3000 and never had a day were I wished I got any other color! (maybe silver on bad days lol)
When I get around to getting a PSVita I'm probably going all-white myself! All be it the 1000
hack em all!
they are still a super powerful emulation machine considering they have been around since 2011
impressive that they can handle so many PS2 ports
the technology was seriously ahead of its time
well the hardware was.. and the software caught up eventually XD

I stand by this as well. They're great modern emulation machines and easy AF to hack.
The only major hardware fault IMO is the memory card format. There was no reason for Sony to pull that proprietary bullshit that they already tried on the PSP but they did it anyway.
Also the second stick was great and all, but we could have done with some token L2/R2 buttons near the L/R buttons.

I've been meaning to invest in one of these for quite a while.
The "official" version was too expensive, but I'm also loathe to spend £20 on something that is probably gonna be cheapely made from China and might fall apart quickly.
That said, it would be so damn useful for streaming PS4 to the system or just for playing PS1 games that actually need an R2/L2 setup.

Naturally, these are mine. and while I love all of them, I agree that the white one is the best looking. I really like the d-pad and face buttons, they are clear as a bell and just ooze with awesomeness.

Hey chief, and I'm sure Boo Man will agree, those things ARE FANTASTIC, but they are ALSO delicate. What you need to be careful of are two things:
1) the HINGE that opens and closes the top (face) over body (main unit) IS delicate. It's very narrow and leaves little room for error. Just treat it delicately and it will last you your lifetime. Careful when you open it, and careful when you close it.
Here is a picture of the hinge...
2) The nubs that lock the top into place - there are 4 of them, on the front and one on each side. When opening/closing the top down on to the body of the unit, these nubs need to lock into place. Normally they lock right in, but if you need to use any "pressure" to get them to lock (doesn't happen often but whatever), just take it slow and easy.
What you really wanna be careful of is, when the unit is empty, and you want to open it (as all the nubs are locked into place - make sure when you're done using it for the time being, always close this thing accordingly. don't leave it open, and whatever you do don't leave it "lying around"), opening it can be just a tad tricky. Not always, but like I said it happens - be CAREFUL when you're prying those nubs up - be VERY careful. They can snap off because they're so damn small, and they have a tight fit on the top when they are securely shut in place. Sometimes it helps to press inward on the bottom half near the nub to get it to snap out of place. Here's a couple pics...
Here are a couple of pics. Look, just be careful with it and it will last you as long as you have your Vita.
Hope this helps!!!
