I meant joysticks. Sorry.triggers, right! wait... triggers? still don't get it... maybe try out one of them 8bitdo neogeo pad remakes, don't even need to hook it up, just fidget around with it, it can calm the triggers
I think the newer image is more confusing actuallyi've updated the image in op removing all obstructions for better clarity
Countering a bit with a bit is my specialtyomg yosef just won't let a guy be cryptic for a bit, it's clicky joystick ok, it clicks in 8 direction, like arcade stick, except it's small and flat, and it's better than dpad for everything, yuck
all of them agree on this, and if they don't i'll fight themwe'll never agree on a replacement.

guess 8bitdo got a loisanse eh, hence all the stupid king of fighters decals that don't even sellMaybe Copyright or Patent issues by SNK or Playmore
for what exactly would you prefer a dpad to this marvelous clicky pad is what i want to knowI love that controller in the OP, got 2 of the 8BitDo ones. But I love variety and experimentation in controllers. ALL controllers like that, no thanks. Different controllers for different games/genres is what I'd prefer personally just like it is now
and you sir, please elaborate what problems the majestic clicky pad can causeBecause dpad's are used for functions in alot of games these days, in the case of the analog-ish stick, it can cause problems in some situations.
I think the original steam controller did it best tbh when it came to it's dpad, at least from what i've heard.
The main reason for this is thumb fatigue, it's not exactly a common occurance but well, common doesn't mean other companies want to risk a lawsuit, for what exactly would you prefer a dpad to this marvelous clicky pad is what i want to know

must be one of those games where you press all 4 directions at the same time to cheat or something
well i don't have any serious problem with that so gotta concede if you do, but just with my avaragely beaten up hands i find it a lot less tiering to use the clicky stick, cause it requires very little force to get positive feedback, i automatically only press it just enough to get the microswitch to click (travel distance is also short on these, comparable to a button press), while the mushy dpad i would iron grip and squeeze to oblivion because of lack of feedback, kinda like membrane keyboard vs mechanical - i smash and always bottom out those membranes, while just gently soaring over and tickling the mechanicalthumb fatigue
